Six members of the Secret Service have been suspended for failures related to last year’s assassination attempt against President Trump at a rally in Butler, Pa.
The suspensions for the six agents ranged from 10 to 42 days, and they won’t be paid while on leave, Secret Service Deputy Director Matt Quinn told CBS News on Wednesday.
The agents will not be fired, but upon return to work, they will be placed in roles with diminished operational responsibility.
“We aren’t going to fire our way out of this,” Quinn told the outlet. “We’re going to focus on the root cause and fix the deficiencies that put us in that situation.”

A scathing Senate report on the assassination attempt released in September determined that “multiple foreseeable and preventable planning and operational failures by [Secret Service] contributed” to Crooks’ ability to carry out the deadly shooting.
“These included unclear roles and responsibilities, insufficient coordination with state and local law enforcement, the lack of effective communications, and inoperable [counter-unmanned aircraft] systems, among many others,” the damning report read.

They need to install a “must be this tall” chart on the wall
Three crucial truths that are all but buried.
1. They knew there was a guy on the roof with a rifle and a clear view.
2. They let Trump take the stage
3. They let the guy take the shot.
I hope the little two legged donut queen that couldn’t reholster her weapon is included. She will eventually get someone hurt !
Only about a year too late.
First, just 6?
Sexond, try, sentence, execute. These people wanted him to be assassinated. They worked very hard to get it done. They were thwarted by local SWAT taking out their patsy on a roof that was unguarded with a clear line of sight.
The Secret Service picked the lock on a salon to use the bathroom and continued in and out traffic, that is criminal and charges need to be filed and firings done.
People who would casually do such a thing are people who have gotten out of control and forgotten their place in the world, and these were federal law people.

A lot of SS agents do mostly mundane tasks like looking at counterfeit money and such. Their greatest risk of injury is a paper cut. I expect that is where the chubby chick came from and was promoted to guard Trump as a DEI thing. The head of the SS that quit wanted something like a 35% increase in female agents.
“A” people hire “A” people. “B” people hire “B” and “C” people. The Biden Administration was full of “B” “C” “D” and “F” people. The results were predictable.
Jill Biden was at a dinner in Pittsburgh at the same time Trump was speaking in Butler. Did the Secret Service have to man Jill’s dinner, taking away from Trump’s protection.
They need to assign those agents to doing manual labor on slanted roofs.
Always investigations but nobody goes to jail.
My thoughts exactly.
Yeah, everybody up the chain of command involved needs to go, too.
Secret Service BBQ? For sure, probably herself.
Better late than never I guess.
How about those sloped roof rangers.
'Fumbelina' might be a heroine here. She's apparently a U.S. Marshal who volunteered for that duty because the Secret Service was so short staffed.
Knowing that, I'd forgive her for not being used to wearing a holster in a pantsuit.
So maybe she was a US Marshal DEI hire. Did they have all the good SS agents covering Hunter? Jill? I can’t think of anyone who is higher risk than Trump for the last 10 years. He beat Hillary, that can be deadly.
😂😂😂
