Cali gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton issued a sharp rebuke of Newsom and the Dem legislature's plan to "rebuild" Altadena and the Pacific Palisades: Hilton said, in part: <><>"What we see across Cali now is the Democrat war on single-family homes, accelerating. <><>That's why they're not issuing permits. That's why it's taking so long. <><>Cali Dems don't want people to stay here, <><>hey don't want people to rebuild <><>They want it rebuilt the way Gavin Newsom is talking—reimagining LA 2.0... <><>That's their extreme ideology. To tell you how to live. <><>They want to tell you to live in apartments, near transit, without a car—-----how they live?" <><>Hilton cited several DEM bills aimed at converting single-family homes into apartments or multi-family units. <><>If such legislation were to succeed, it transforms the Cali dream into a nightmare.

Are there Olympic housing units? In 1984, college dorms were used for Olympic housing. I would assume those would also work for 2028.

Given California's history of shoddy forest management, failure to clear fast-burning flora, and horrendous water management… 🤦🏻♀️

PacificPalisades was rezoned by Newscum at the same time as the fires requiring multi-family buildings.
They are following the Aussie govm’t policy. Make housing expensive. Then use regs and eminent domain to kill the land value so that only apartments can be built — owned by the politicos passing the laws.
Same thing is being done in Ha right after its fire.

it could mark the final step in transforming the California dream into a California nightmare. More like “another step.” There is no end. There is no actual goal. They will never be happy and will never keep “progressing.”
