Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey played a leading role on the eight-member team that prosecuted rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs in a sex trafficking and racketeering trial that came to a close Wednesday with mixed results.
The daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, Maurene Comey faced a setback when the jury found the performer not guilty of some of the most serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. However, the jury did side with prosecutors on two counts, finding Combs guilty of violating the Mann Act of 1910 by transporting women across state lines for prostitution.
Maurene Comey was a prosecutor in the Jeffrey Epstein trial prior to his death in prison and also had a lead role in Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial.

The morning radio guys (Conservative Circus 550AM) in Phoenix didn’t mention the Comey connection, but did mention that the prosecution had a weak case considering everything.
Why does she still have a job in the Trump administration?
She was installed as the SPOILER prosecutor so Combs could walk, and he WILL walk. All part of the plan, like installing James Comey so deep state lawlessness could abound in our gov't.

Anyone else would be put away for at least 20 years. Also, a typical NYC jury is mentally retarded and controlled by judges. Why the Trump 47 era DOJ has DNC holdovers is unbelievable.
When you make up a law based on hiding the real criminals, people start to think that the prosecutors are withholding the truth. The funny thing is that Diddy can’t be prosicuted for the same charge. Its your guess and mine as to whether this was the intended outcome, or did they just play the game one too many times. Where are the generals politicians and diplomats who slid naked at Diddy’s parties. We know they are out there.
Actually if you read the transcript of her closing argument, she tied it all together very well and made a compelling case for the most serious RICO-like charges. If she bottled it, its not clear from the record of the case as to how she did it. You might consider checking out “Just Human” on Rumble - he does some very good summaries of the trial. He’s as pro-Trump and anit-Deep State as they come, and he thinks she did a pretty good job.
Waiting 20 years and trying to convince the jury that he trafficked women who were his girlfriends, and stayed with him is a hard sell after the metoo movement has been proven to be a fraud.
Women lie ALL THE TIME and with no real evidence and waiting years to make these claims, why should anyone believe them?

I think this whole trial was supposed to serve as a distraction from Biden’s campaign.

This can get you 20 years. The prosecutors say they will press for 20 years. The Mann act is not dead or ignored. People have gone prison for it in the last 5-10 years.
I see Diddy getting 7 years prison via the Mann Act and being a first time offender.
