LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - More than a week after Broadacres Marketplace suddenly closed, FOX5 uncovered new information – linking the closure to an apparent immigration raid at a swap meet in California.
On June 15, more than 100 federal agents from ICE, and the FBI, many in tactical gear, and masks, swept through the most popular swap meet near Los Angeles – the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet.
Shortly after the apparent raid, Border Patrol posted a heavily edited, fast-paced video on social media, showing agents moving through the California swap meet, with dramatic music, sweeping aerial shots and multiple camera angles.
However, FOX5 learned only two people were detained, neither of them vendors or employees.
Days after this, Broadacres Marketplace closed their doors. FOX5 previously reported, the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet and Broadacres in North Las Vegas are owned by the same parent company, Newport Diversified Inc.
FOX5 has now learned through sources, the company believed federal agents were planning to carry out a similar operation at the most popular swap meet in Las Vegas – Broadacres Marketplace.
...
Sources tell FOX5 multiple attorneys met with Broadacres and confirmed federal agents don’t need a warrant to access public spaces like vendor aisles and parking lots. Meaning, by federal law, management cannot stop agents from entering the public areas of the swap meets.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
So, targeted arrests. Then why close down?
Bring down the heavy hand of correction on their misbehavior. Maybe they can learn to sit up and act right.
A number of communities with large Hispanic populations around LA are cancelling or scaling back their Fourth of July celebrations for fear of ICE roundups. One of those communities is Cudahy with our favorite vice cholla mayor. It’s an admission on their part that their communities are harboring many illegal immigrants.
This reminds me of people I used to work with that agreed to drug testing when the got hired, only to complain about it when the time came to provide a sample......if your not doing anything wrong, there’s nothing to worry about.
That headline needs work - like, “What’s a ‘sister-swap’?”
Good, put the pressure on and let them believe no where is safe. Don’t let up till they give up and self deport or get caught.
“.if your not doing anything wrong, there’s nothing to worry about“
—————
Not necessarily. I have a relative with rotten luck. He claims to have eaten a poppyseed muffin prior to being tested for drugs. He came up positive. He was let go from his job.
If your sister is ugly, you can swap for another.
Hmmm...
Did you know people who make serious life and death decisions regarding the lives of other people are not required to submit to random drug tests?
We're talking doctors, judges, cops, mayors, members of Congress, the Senate, city, county and state officials, etc, etc.
Why do you think that is?
Where are the illegals going to fence their stolen goods and counterfeit fashions?
What are those organizations?
Never heard of them.
For years, people all over the world had absolutely NO fear of coming into our country any way they could, that would avoid immigration officials.
“....if you’re not doing anything wrong, there’s nothing to worry about.”
outside of employment agreement, What a totally head-up-ass idiocy excuse for giving up liberties:
“If you’ve got nothing to hide, you won’t mind me searching your vehicle, home, person.”
Amazed/dismayed to see it here on FR.
