The house next door crashed into their home and took out part of it, then disappeared into the river.
The husband was lucky the neighbor’s house didn’t take out the bedroom he was sleeping in.
They had NO warning.
Hale reminds me so much of our friend, Phillip, that we lost 2 years ago.
It’s like I DO know him.
I think the first inklings of this cynical attitude appeared on The Smothers brothers Show.
At the time, it was pretty shocking.
Just amazing they survived.

After Harvey ... I told hubs were were keeping an inflatable raft, life jackets and helmets in our garage with our go bag stuff.
These folks wouldn’t even have had time to inflate a raft ... they were lucky to grab on to anything, fast. The rapids would’ve torn up any inflatable raft.
They’re all in shock, just living through this.
I just keep thinking about these sweet little girls ... who were so frightened and not with their parents, I just hurt for them, all.
We have another problem here in South Florida:sharks. They have become true apex predators over the past three years and no one is doing anything about it.
Historically, sharks only ate a few fish we hooked. Over the past few years They now eat almost anything we hook in many areas of south Florida. It's epidemic and we are not getting permissisonto kill them all only certain species.
All in all fisheries mgmt. is a disaster in the US and needs to be cleaned up.
we are a multi billion dollar industry and are being sabotaged by the commercial interests and have been for decades. Thanks again I'll pass this on.

Lt. Gov. Patrick said he has been getting texts from parents who haven’t found their girls and from those that have.
One little girl said the councilor in their cabin saw water coming in under the door, woke all the girls up, smashed out a window with a flashlight which they all crawled through in their pj’s.
The water was up to their chests, and she said they walked to higher ground, from there went even higher.
She said she was amazed she was still alive.
These children’s lives have been changed forever.
Bless them all.
