Keeping Ukraine out of NATO reflects America's interests.

No need for NATO to get involved in the squabbles of East Bloc countries. NATO isn't even up to full strength.

NATO Has Abandoned Ukraine to Russia
How is it abandonment if it was never part of NATO in the first place?

NATO has been using Ukraine as its proxy to fight Russia. NATO is losing and is abadoning its proxy.

Hang on, Ukraine, the UK’s upping its defense spending in 2035!
;-)

Eastern Ukraine voted to become part of Russia 20 years ago.
John “Fuller Brush” Bolton and other warhawks are election deniers.
NATO is wise to cut and run.

Apparently the NORTH ATLANTIC Treaty Organization is really the Any Country Bordering a Country That Touches the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
EU needs to be responsible for EU.
US treaties should be mutual support with individual countries that are our friends and have common interests.
For decades we have been suckered into protecting socialist countries that depend on OUR might to protect them while they spend the aid money from us to fund their social programs while they put LITTLE TO NOTHING into their own defense.
PAYING someone to be friendly with you does not make them your friend.

If Ukraine has failed to submit a reasonable peace proposal to Russia, the conflict should go forward at Ukraine’s full risk.
To: bimboeruption
now that nato has to pay for their own crap , 5% from 2%, they have no courage for Ukraine.
grifters.
they want our boots, bombs and blood spent first.

the final summit declaration omitted previous language about Ukraine's "irreversible path" to membership.
What a bunch of hooey!
Not including language in support of NATO membership or Ukraine, is 'abandoning' Ukraine.
Heck,I omitted to tell my wife that I gassed up the car yesterday. Does that mean that the gas tank is empty?
Drawing conclusions from omissions, is totally insane and totally misrepresenting what happened or could happen.
But hey, NATO bad, because Trump told them to do something, which made them take their eyes off the ball.
Reality is that NATO is getting more and more involved in Ukraine as the war rages on. And NATO membership is off the table as long as the war continues.

no more US dollars.
let euros deal with it

I guess pledging € 35 billion from Europe and Canada this year counts as abandoning Ukraine.

Hang on, Ukraine, the UK’s upping its defense spending in 2035!
You heard wrong, or concluded wrong.
Spending by NATO countries will go up, year after year, until they all reach 5% of GDP spending for defense by the year 2035.

Which means they’ll still be upping it to get to 5% in 2035. (If you believe it, that is.)
