Washington — Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Salvadoran man who was deported back to his home country and then returned to the U.S. for federal prosecution, is set to remain in jail for several more days as lawyers debate whether the Justice Department can stop him from being deported if he is released from federal custody pending his trial on human smuggling charges, according to The Associated Press.
Lawyers for Abrego Garcia and federal prosecutors met in court in Nashville on Wednesday for a hearing to discuss the conditions of his release after U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes on Sunday denied a Justice Department request to keep Abrego Garcia detained while awaiting a criminal trial.
In her decision, Holmes said Abrego Garcia should be released, with certain conditions. But she noted, and lawyers for both sides acknowledged, that the Salvadoran man would likely be detained by federal immigration authorities for removal proceedings if released on criminal charges.
The Justice Department has appealed Holmes' release order, but a federal district judge on Wednesday declined to pause that decision.
The judge, Waverly Crenshaw, set a hearing for July 16 to consider the government's bid to revoke the release order …

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Salvadoran Man????
LOL. Hell just froze over.
SOMEbody just lost his or her or they/them’s job at SeeBS.
Big error, is Maryland man, no.?
He’s in TN now and they have figured out no matter what they do to assist him, he is going to get put it jail.
Give him bail and immigration is going to pick him up.
El Salvador is his home country now??? What the hell is going on at SeeBS?
Reality, at some point, must be acknowledged.
The federal stooge-judges are deliberately wasting taxpayer dollars.
Judge Boasberg(?) and Kilmar’s BFF in Congress wanted him back in MD, either never knowing or caring, that this terrorist organization member FAFO in Tennessee...
His best option was El Salvador and an occasional hotel pool side bar visit with his BFF in Congress...
Now, the worst option for this terrorist organization member is Federal prison bars not in Maryland close to his family or his BFF in Congress
I didn’t need to know any more than this to know this trial is a joke being held in a kangaroo court.
“Judge Barbara”
Idiots, they fought to get him released only to have him deported and removed instead. I’m okay with that.
He was fine where he was. Bringing him back was retarded. Blondi is less than worthless.
The spoilsport Noa Tishby was a guest on Fox and said we shouldn’t get excited about feeding the criminals to the alligators, just use it as a place to keep them imprisoned.
Not good to see it as a means of violence to others.
Antisemitism opponent and activist.
As a public service to some here who haven’t ruled her guilty or not guilty:
Those absurd publicity photos of him at a farm, wearing a straw hat and looking innocent should be banned.
He trafficked people for money. He beat his wife enough to have her get protection orders twice, then gushed over “he’s not the man today he used to be.”
He got his “due process.”
He doesn’t need Von Hollen, he can spoon with the Gitmo guys.
Barbara needs to be thrown in jail with him.
Nothing in his future has him living free in the US, EVER.
His previous deportation was only questioned because of a small paperwork slip up. That will not happen this time. CECOT awaits.
EC
Antarctica. It’s nice and...uh...cool this time of year.
Trump should make a deal an send these murderers and rapist over to Iran or North Korea. They could then use them for target practice
