Per the deal, Murphy, DFL-St. Paul, was to cast a vote in support of the bill, despite her adamant opposition to repealing the law that went into effect just a few months ago on Jan. 1. “I struck a deal. I gave my word, but I do not support this proposal,” Murphy said in her own floor speech, as she appeared to hold back tears welling in her eyes. Earlier in the day, the House passed the bill on a party-line vote, with the exception of House DFL Leader Melissa Hortman, who also agreed to vote for the proposal. Neither Kupec or Hauschild took the opportunity during the Senate floor debate to explain their rationale to their colleagues.

They felt “like they had a gun to their heads”
This week prior to the assassination.
CARTEL HIT, 100%. That "MANIFESTO" word is a leftard media favorite so my TIN FOIL HAT IS ALSO NOW FITTED TIGHTLY TO MY HEAD.
So, did Hortman’s killer kill her to protest her vote against illegal immigrants? And how did Hoffman vote on that?
No way should taxpayers pay for health care for illegals.
When was the vote?
This explanation makes more sense than any other.
“House DFL Leader Melissa Hortman, who also agreed to vote for the proposal.” Sounds like the assassin was a disgruntled democrat.
But Hoffman, the other senator who was shot, voted against the repeal (see end of article), so doesn’t seem to be direct connection to the vote on this bill.
“Other senators from swing districts, like Judy Seeberger of Afton, John Hoffman of Champlin, and Aric Putnam of St. Cloud, voted against the repeal.”
Or a cartel hitman sending a “message”.
Agreed but perhaps the shooter thinks he failed to persuade his wife.
The floor debate on this bill was rather wild and video is available.
One dem legislator stood on the floor and said white people don’t make contributions to better community in Minnesota.
At all.
Perhaps.
The car found had paper saying no kings over and over again so there ya go they were targeted because they voted the right way
Both who were shot sided with republicans
Where are you reading/hearing that?
This past week around Tuesday.
Why do you say that? As per the article (and other publications), he voted against repealing the bill to give aid to illegals. She voted for repealing it.
“Agreed but perhaps the shooter thinks he failed to persuade his wife.”
Also, if he shot her and the husband was there, he’s a witness to be eliminated.
