Is it too much for a nation to celebrate its 250th Birthday?
Not if you love your Coumtry. No price would be too high. But this is a bargain.
I’m more worried about it attracting the worst conceivable act of state-sponsored terrorism.
Compare its cost with the amount of taxpayers money stolen, purloined, misappropriated and fraudulently taken...trillions over decades. Comparatively it is nothing...the celebration is Patriotic...and will be cool to watch.
I bet amount of taxpayers money mishandled by this congress is in the hundreds of billions.
The parade will inspire many young people to join the military. A great recruiting event.
What is the marginal/incremental cost of this?
Army’s 250th birthday comes at another time?
“Since when are liberals concerned with the cost of anything the government does”
When it can be used against the Republicans.
And how many billions are given to illegals to pay for all their free crap
No because it comes at same a time we are being drawn into another war. A war that the vast majority of Americans don’t want.
Gee. $25 million for a parade on the 250th anniversary of the year America was born, or...
$20 million to a nonprofit called Sesame Workshop to produce a show called “Ahlan Simsim Iraq” in an effort to “promote inclusion, mutual respect and understanding across ethnic, religious and sectarian groups.”
Hmm. Which of these should we spend money on? I know the people having a fit about the parade would be wholly onboard with the Sesame Street in Iraq project.

This parade is to the to celebrate the birthday of the Army.
The parade for the birthday of the USA will be next year
and it will be much bigger!
It’s not the birthday of the nation. It’s the army’s birthday. The nations birthday is next year. 1776 to 2026.
