"I have harbored a deep resentment against Jimmy Carter and the Democrats ever since then."

I don't keep such a resentment, it's been too long ago. That said, I hope Israel destroys the Mullahs and their tyrannical oppression. I want the Persians to have a strong opportunity to uprise and create a western civilization. Most want that as do those who have signed the Abraham Accords and those looking to.

I really thought back then that Iran was going to be the example to show other Arab nations how to get out of the vicious cycle they have been caught in since, oh, the decline and fall of the Ottoman Empire that began in the latter part of the 16th Century.

I did feel they were different from other predominately muslim countries in that region.

That would be temporary as it would eliminate Iran's oil income which is necessary to pay its Revolutionary Guard and other regime protection forces. IMO we should destroy Iran's oil export port at Karg Island (90% + all its oil exports) and take care of that now. Iran has been at war with us since 1979 and most recently killed American troops in January 2024 in Syria.

We should start fighting back.

Iran has already has more of it’s navy on the bottom of the sea than on top from when they pissed off Reagan. Last time it was called Praying Mantis. Maybe this time it should be called operation sitting duck or maybe just “Operation Roar” as a hat tip to Netanyahu’s Operation Rising Lion. Iran has few cards to play. Thank the lord for that!

To: Alas Babylon!

Just to show how inaccurate that ship location image is: the USS Abraham Lincoln is where the Vinson is supposed to be.

There are at least 3 carrier groups near Iran: 2 in the Med and one in the south.

Oh, yeah, that didn’t happen.

Israel only has 3 female fighter pilots, to boot.

I assume the Bab al-Mandeb is where the Red Sea meets the Gulf of Aden. Whom would that hurt the most? China?

For US imports, it looks like Canada is #1 (by far), then Algeria, then unspecified Persian Gulf is #3.
