If you feel threatened by a mob who surrounds your car, you can flee in your car. If the mob does not get out of your way, they are at fault. It is them who are impinging on your right to peaceably travel on the public right-of-way.

The drivers must leave the protesters on the sidewalks alone. Same goes for the gutters. And the protesters better stay off the streets. Same goes for the gutters. The protesters belong on the sidewalks.
Gutters are great as they help preserve roads by having a natural drainage for precipitation during/after storms. But they also serve as an effective boundary between brick-carrying protesters and Soccer Moms on their carpools.

In Florida you can use deadly force to defend yourself if you fear your life is endangered.
A gun is not the only thing that can be lethal. A moving 5,000 pound automobile can be more deadly than an ounce of buckshot.
