The U.S. Congress has officially received a $9.4 billion rescission request from the White House — one that Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said will eliminate billions of dollars in “wasteful foreign aid spending” at the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development.
“Under President Trump, every federal taxpayer dollar is actually being used to serve the American people, not to fund a bloated bureaucracy or purely partisan pet projects,” Johnson wrote on X. “We thank Elon Musk and his DOGE team for identifying a wide range of wasteful, duplicative, and outdated programs, and House Republicans are eager to eliminate them.”
The package — which would claw back funds previously approved by Congress for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 — includes aid money already cut by DOGE, the budget-slashing Department of Government Efficiency. I hope this is just the beginning.
DOGE has uncovered over $130 billion in waste and fraud and they haven’t audited every department yet. $9.4 billion is MINUSCULE in the scheme of things.
“wasteful foreign aid spending”
If the money is spent on immigrants (legal or illegal) from India in Wasteful IT projects is it wasteful foreign aid?
As the same waste of money is spent on both immigrants and native born is there a difference? Is one OK and not the other?
When I entered IT Anderson/Accenture Consultant Bible was:
If centralized, recommend decentralize. If decentralized, recommend centralized. Whatever the shop is, recommend the opposite. Don’t look at what makes sense; Just recommend the most expensive that will be the biggest project for the consulting firms.
HHS/CMS received that consulting advice and pays, Accenture, DeLoitte, and other big and small firms to waste money on absurd projects.
There might be a million dollar problem here and a 5 million dollar project there. A smart consulting firm turns a 6 million dollar problem into a 500 million dollar project.
How many projects do the Feds have that are over 20 years old? Every year they are over budget spending billions. And the project is no where close to finished. OH, they do spend a couple million to rename it and re-package the rhetoric every couple years,.
They deserve the Arthur Anderson treatment.
The worst consulting company of all time is McKinsey & Company.
Evil company.
Here in GA Deloitte is probably the worst of the big ones. There are so many medium and small ones. Many do what they are told and are not originators of the planned waste.

You can say that again!
