If you look back at wars in that part of the world, they don’t end with negotiation, they end in annihilation of one side, the latest example is Germany in WW II, that war ended with Germany basically bombed into the stone age with Berlin laying in ruins.

I could see the same thing happening to Ukraine, the latest drone attack by Ukraine deep into Russia is going to do nothing but make Russia even more determined to eliminate any threat Ukraine might pose.

I hope I’m wrong and the US doesn’t get sucked into a war to save Ukraine from total defeat.

That’s an invented Russian propaganda.

Those four regions are ethnically Ukrainian, NOT Russian.
Only Crimea has a majority of Russians.

The Russians are just stealing territory which isn’t theirs, while committing arson, rape, bombings, terrorism - hand in hand with their very close allies : Islamic Iran and Communist North Korea.

There is only one province with an ethnic Russian majority, Crimea, and Russia already had it. Zelensky offered no NATO and Putin turned him down. "Neo-Nazi" is just a euphemism for Ukrainian nationalism, not real Nazis. De-Nazification is the plan to erase the Ukrainian national identity and subsume it into Russian. And that is why Ukraine will continue to resist, very simple.
