Secretary of State Marco Rubio doubled down on President Trump’s demand for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia after the war escalated over a weekend with a series of intense bombings inside both countries.
Rubio told Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Sunday that both sides needed to engage in direct talks “to achieve a lasting peace,” according to the State Department.
The message came after Ukraine’s forces wiped out and damaged 41 of the Kremlin’s nuclear bombers and aircraft, attacking at least four air bases across Russia in a massive operation.

Well, the nuclear bombers were lined up on the runways as if the there was no war going on. I guess the Russians didn’t study Pearl Harbor.
If you read about the Japanese preparation for Pearl Harbor, they were very thorough and involved a number of novel weapons and tactics. The US severely underestimated the Japanese.
But after four years of war, you would think the Russians would realize that the Ukrainians are quite skilled at modern warfare.
it would pay to find and read General Flynn’s response to this. It has been posted in a few different threads. I think it deserves its own thread.
Give you a bit of advice.

Their cult like presentations will rob your mind of a independent reason, dragging you down into their depths of deprivation.
More likely Putin and Russia will figure out that they just don’t have it and they will understand what a miserable untalented people and nation they really are. I think it is more likely to be a tet offensive.
