A meeting between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul aimed at paving the way for a potential ceasefire is expected to take place at 10:00 GMT, or 1 p.m. local time, at the Ciragan Palace, a Turkish Foreign Ministry source said on Sunday.

Ukraine's delegation to a second round of peace talks will include its defense minister, deputy foreign minister, as well as several military and intelligence officials, according to an executive order by President Volodymyr Zelensky published on Sunday.

Ya, I don’t think so. Negotiations are over now. I just hope Trump can keep us out of it.

“Ya, I don’t think so. Negotiations are over now. I just hope Trump can keep us out of it.”

Agree, Putin, or whoever replaces Putin, will have to first deal with a response to the Neocon attack on their Strategic Assets. After the response, I suspect that peace negotiations will start and will be quite successful, too.

Trump will be there if Putin wants to make a deal.

Putin wasn’t interested in peace. Like the Palestinians, peace negotiations were nothing more than buying time to push further.

LOL! I don't think you understand what is happening or how dangerous all this is, and I suspect you are in for a rude awakening very soon.

More like they won’t accept the Neocon Capitulation Package.

Russia can stop this immediately at any time by withdrawing.

And NATO and Ukraine can likewise put an end to it. Being as they are the ones who started it, I think the onus is on them.

It truly is but they aren’t a mind to either.
We are in for a long war here with lots of unpredictability.

“Putin sent a low level delegation.”

You know the “Low Level” crap is BS. Putin sent people from his INNER CIRCLE to negotiate, that doesn’t sound very “Low Level” to me.

They just can’t stop propagandizing. It’s in their DNA.

Russia made it clear upfront that NATO would not be allowed to encroach into Ukraine, that was a red line. Ukraine and the west indicated it was going to join NATO, which Russia very publicly stated was a threat and a red line. Add to that Ukraine needed to be demilitarized and denazified to protect Russian loyalist and citizens.

The thing is, people on all sides understand that the “Low Level Delegation” is just another Neocon Lie. So one has to wonder just why they keep making this claim.

The delegates to the current peace talks in Istanbul from Ukraine and Russia are not from the absolute inner circles of either President Volodymyr Zelenskyy or President Vladimir Putin.

Ukrainian Delegation: President Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine would send a delegation of his officials to Istanbul, with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov named as the head of the Ukrainian team. While Umerov is a senior official and close to Zelenskyy, he is not considered part of the president’s innermost circle, such as the chief of staff or top political advisors.

Russian Delegation: Russia has stated it is sending its negotiating team to the talks, but there is no indication that President Putin or his closest aides (such as the foreign minister or top Kremlin advisors) will be present. Previous rounds of negotiations have involved lower-level officials, and current reporting suggests the same approach for these talks.
