Graham and Blumenthal are acting like they are the presidents and the state department. Absolute clowns.

“Who’s he to be issuing threats?”

The old “Good Cop, Bad Cop” Mutt and Jeff routine.

Senator Graham plays the bad cop for Putin.

Senator Graham’s Bone-Crushing Sanctions bill (SB 1241) is ready to advance in the US Senate. With 81 Senators signed on as co-sponsors, it has a filibuster-proof, and veto-proof majority.

Kyiv Independent reports:

“The U.S. Senate is expected to “start moving” next week on a bill introducing sweeping new sanctions against Russia, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said at a press briefing in Kyiv on May 30 attended by The Kyiv Independent.

The proposed bill would impose 500% tariffs on imports from countries purchasing Russian oil, gas, uranium, and other products. At least 82 U.S. senators are prepared to vote for the bill, Graham said.

“I would expect next week that the Senate will start moving the sanctions bill,” Graham, a vocal supporter of Ukraine and close ally of U.S. President Donald Trump, said. “There are House members that are ready to move in the House, and you’ll see congressional action. President Trump said that the next two-week period will be outcome-determined.”

Asked whether Congress would pass the bill before its summer recess and whether Trump would sign it, Graham responded: “I’ve never been more optimistic than I am today.””

OPEC+ just announced their third monthly production increase in a row, over Russian objections. The market is well prepared for the Bone-Crushing Sanctions - taking away Russia’s oil export market share. President Trump was likely coordinating this deal in his first foreign trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE. It will/would be a gigantic transfer of wealth from Russia to its competitor oil producers (including the USA).

It is too good of a deal to pass up. This is the chance of lifetime to take a fortune from Russia, potentially for the long term.

The GOPe loves Linda, they will pull out all the stops to save him. Look for 2 or 3 plants to split the base and working with the rats to encourage crossover in the primary. They found a way to save the despised Murkowski think of whey they will to save Linda.

Both Graham and Scott know that they can depend on GOP PAC money.

Tim Scott endorsed Murkowski over her more conservative, articulate primary opponent.

Senators Lindsey Graham (RINO-SC) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) arrived in Kyiv to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday.

Those NeoCons have invested so much in their proxy war, they cannot afford for it to be for nothing.

Are we going to sanction ourselves? Despite the 2024 ban on our importing LEU from Russia, waivers have been issued to allow some imports. How about Europe? They still import Russian oil. China and India stop importing Russian oil? Uh, no. Are we gonna sanction Israel? Hmm.

Rand Paul wrote an excellent piece on why and how this stupid bill would result in nasty blowback:

People don’t understand oil. OPEC+ has talked about increases — which largely only unwind previous voluntary production cuts.

Russia current agreed on quota within OPEC+ is 8.98 million bpd (mostly diesel rich Urals). Their actual production is 9 million bpd, with a promise to correct that 0.02. An increase by OPEC+ of 411K bpd will accrue about 16% of that to Russia, which will raise its agreed output to 9.065 mbpd.

KSA’s light Arabian crude blend is not very diesel rich and less desired by Chinese perpetual construction equipment. As an FYI, the middle distillate densest oil blend in the world turns out to be Libya. A barrel of Libyan oil has twice the diesel / kerosene (jet fuel) that Arabian light has.

Libya is apparently going offline soon with another of their periodic civil wars.

Don’t waste your time arguing with these idiots. That one is an arrogant Uke nationalist who doesn’t give a rat’s ass about the USA.
