In the sentencing memo, prosecutors said Clifton Nez Hamalowa “is considered a career offender because of his lengthy history of violence.” In 1991, Clifton Nez Hamalowa stabbed his mother with a butcher knife, according to the memo. Then in 1999, he stabbed a man to death during an argument and later threatened his mother when she said she was going to turn him in, the document said. Between 1999 and 2000 while serving time, Clifton Nez Hamalowa stabbed another inmate, the memo said.
Just doesn’t seem like a nice guy

You don’t know what he has been going through! He isn’t from Arizona! His mother has cancer and he has to take care of her. He is late for work!

Keep the knives away from this dude.

Why was he let out of prison?? (of course, there is an off chance that he was defending himself in the prison situation, but still!)

NO PAROLE for violent criminals. Ya know, crimes like MURDER!
Do the crime do the time.
Its time to make all crimes have mandatory sentences. Take the power away from these squishy judges and prosecutors.
NO MORE PLEA DEALS! No more concurrent sentences. Do 5 crimes, serve time for FIVE!
Treat juveniles as adults! You do an “adult” crime, do the “adult” time.
Create good paying construction jobs, BUILD MORE PRISONS!

Are prisoners allowed knives for self defence? That seems like some would take advantage and not just use them for self defence. You could make them promise but still, some might not keep their word.

Actually, he is as Arizona as they come.
(from perplexity.ai)
Clifton Nez Hamalowa is repeatedly identified as a member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, which is a federally recognized Native American tribe in Arizona. The use of "Nez" as a surname is also notable, as it is a common Navajo (Diné) surname, though the context here is specifically tied to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that "Nez Hamalowa" is an American Indian name, specifically associated with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

IMO anyone involved in his release should be charged with manslaughter.
