If health care is a human right that means slavery for doctors, nurses etal if totally ok—because somebody has to provide that service for “free”.
Usually what happens is that it ends up getting rationed. There's no way for everyone to get health care immediately, obviously.
So everyone should get what federal public employees get, Moulton...

Because you’ve got it pretty good, haven’t you...
On someone else’s nickel.
There is no such thing as “free health care” - ask California that offered up “free” health care for illegals that came to $12b last year.
Funny how that is the exact amount of California’s budget deficit.
When I taught school, I saw “immigrant” families of sick or disabled children who came into the U.S. specifically for “free” healthcare.
Indeed. And if it’s a human right, why does he think only Americans should get it? Are non-Americans inhuman? This guy did not pass logic 101.
Nothing that requires the labor or resources of another is a human right.
Beware! Moulton would be a Dem presidential nominee if Dems want to pretend to be sane.
Democrats always get human rights, responsibilities and privileges confused. Your health is your responsibility.
Health care asa human right requires the healthcare providers to work for free. Otherwise it is not a right.
Not exactly. We now have libraries and fire departments as tax-payer funded services. They used to be subscription only.
Nearly every place has free fire coverage. It doesn’t mean firefighters work for free, barring the volunteers.
Food is necessary for survival. Same as health care. But I can go for months, years, without seeing a doctor and I’ll live. But one cannot go without food for long without dying.
So, is free food a human right? If so, does this mean it’s my right to walk into a supermarket and take what I want without paying for it?
Two thirds of firefighters in the USA are volunteers. Nearly two thirds of fire departments are all volunteer.
Of course, these are mostly smaller departments.
“If health care is a human right that means slavery for doctors, nurses et al”
The “right” claimed is to amount of government money sufficient to pay for the desired care.
Even legal immigrants should pay for their own healthcare via their own funds and those of employers.
What could be done is to require employers of illegals to pay for their and their dependents’ health care.
“””Nearly every place has free fire coverage. “”
My property taxes pay for that “free” service.
The right to travel is a civil right but the government doesn’t buy us cars. They can have health care. They just have to pay for it like the rest of us.
