I.C.E. and other Florida agencies arrested over 100 illegal immigrants today who were working at a "major" construction site in Tallahassee.
HSI Tampa says some were previously deported, while others have criminal backgrounds.

So, wonder what the construction co. does now? LOL!
More Please! Arrest the employers who knew these people were illegals too.
“””So, wonder what the construction co. does now? LOL!””
They are screwed. It is very tough to find anyone who wants to work or who has skill these days. I did it for 40 years and I don’t know how these big companies can find enough workers.
I was thinking of wearing a jacket that says ICE on it and have someone film me locally peering around a building by a business that has illegals working there. Then post that on TikTok and see how many vacate our area. Just post it saying something like ICE seen locally here.
“Florida residents building orphanage harassed by ICE”
- CNN (not yet anyway)
Is ‘baby formula factory’ too dated now?
Pay $40/hr with OT and there will be plenty of takers.
Judges will be rushing to countermand the arrests and detention of the perps.
Here’s an idea. Have little districts’ judges camp out at ICE mission areas and issue quick orders to impede ICE agents.
Like the Dem. National convention in 2024 with a mobile abortion and vasectomy vehicle on site outside the arena.
Sugar coated news version:
They offered free medication abortions and vasectomies to spotlight the need for accessible reproductive healthcare, particularly in the Midwest, following the erosion of federal abortion protections.
The clinic aimed to assist individuals traveling to Illinois from states with strict abortion bans after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
The clinic staff saw between 20 and 30 patients for abortions and 10 for vasectomies during the two days it was operational.
Now charge the employer.
There must be a shift of the perception that having a college degree garners success. Today, only a handful of professional fields require a college education. What is needed are trade schools. These professionals are in high demand and are paid well. Some of the most successful people I know are trade’s men. This is coming from someone w/a master’s degree which I’m not using. But my trade skills have come in handy when flipping houses.
Throw in training people.
Employers seem to avoid that idea like a plague.
Long time IT person here who is tired of it and in between gigs.
When I look at trades jobs that I could realistically do (physical), the the most realistic is learning NDT.
I have some exposure to that and found some fundamental classes on Udemy.
Admittedly I am a little unclear about getting the first level certification.
Construction companies will ned to raise their wags to attract quality workers. Prices will rise to reflect this. Novices will b attactdbto taditional building trades. Not a bad result.
This. That’s the efficient way to do it.
Tiny print on cell phone. Sorry for the errors above.
ICE ICE BABY...
Doesn’t Florida mandate the use of E-Verify? Can businesses go around that easily? Or do fake papers that illegals use bypass E-Verify verification?
30 years in the industry. Laid off a couple of times but have not been out of work long periods of time. I recommend that you look networking.
CCNA and Network+ are the first level certifications,
From there you can stay in network (CCNP), or move to SysAdmin (Linux or Microsoft), or security (Security+).
From there, get an Associates from your local / online college. Then go to WGU and enroll when you feel ready.
