>>”Ukraine means nothing to us. Its not our fight or our problem.”

It is our problem in the same sense that China invading Taiwan would be our problem. Neither problem necessitates nor justifies direct military intervention on our part, but the outcomes effect us, nonetheless. And in the case of Russia/Ukraine, it has less to do with helping Ukraine as it does with keeping a check on Russia’s expansionist aspirations. For anyone who argues that we have no interest in keeping those in check, consider the consequences of a Russian takeover of Ukraine.

It would create an immediate arms escalation in Europe, and in particular with the East European countries bordering Russia. Why should that matter to us? Well, for one thing, we have treaty obligations with most of those countries through NATO. Beyond that, consider some of the other consequences of an emboldened, expansionist Russia.

We see how willing Russia has been in recent years to assist countries that are hostile to us. Iran and Syria come to mind. And they have made common cause with China, a nation with hostile intention towards us. The effect of these alliances have been largely muted in recent years due to the weakness of Russia’s economy and outdated military technology. But with an emboldened Russia basking in a defeated Ukraine, that could easily change. Totalitarian governments need expansion and dominance of their neighbors to make up for the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of their top-down economies.

And again you might ask, “Who cares? That’s Europe’s problem not ours”. But consider how problems around the world tend to become our problems. With a strong America First President, the consequences may not be that dire, but what guarantee is there that we won’t have another America-Last Globalist administration at some time in the future? Just look at how much damage was done to our country in just the last four years from an administration that was in bed with our enemies and which made common cause with them to betray U.S. interests.

The more we’re able to establish peace during periods in which we are strong, the fewer the threats that we will have to face if and when we have weak government in power.

We had to bail their asses out of two world wars and they’re again expecting the same.

><

That’s right and we had the Marshall Plan to rebuild them after WWW II.

NO MORE! Not one more drop of American blood for the bastards.

The only thing left coming Russia are items like fertilizer we can't get cheaply anywhere else.

It's amusing that same of the same people screeching about tariffs harming in the economy when it comes to negotiating better trade deals are totally okay with embargos or massive tariffs that halt imports if they hurt Russia.

Maybe Trump should start a Go Fund Me Page for Ukraine, and those who can afford supporting Ukraine can send Trump the money.

Otherwise, not another dime.

I’ll believe it when I see it. He didn’t do it months ago when he could have and now after pissing around with it for months I’m supposed to believe now he serious? Just do it already!

I’m thinking that our politicians get bigger kickbacks from Ukraine than from other countries such as India.

It would be like walking away from Poland during WWII.

No, it would be like walking away from Austria-Hungary and or Serbia in 1913.

Not our monkeys, not our circus.

We didn’t walk away from Poland, that was Europe’s deal, not ours. Britain and France walked away from Poland, but not lifting a finger once Hitler invaded.

Poland was Britain and France's responsibility.

That said, Ukraine is sort of our responsibility (and UK).

Don't like it? Well, you can blame Bill Clinton for signing the Budapest Memorandum.

Yes, it's not an actual treaty. But it's still a "handshake" agreement with Ukraine. Which was why we were obligated to give Ukraine arms after Russia decided to invade.

The Dangers of Ignoring Ukraine’s Neo-Nazis. Yeah, they’re not supposed to exist. But they do.

Don’t forget about those “White Supramacist” Trump supporters. It isn’t hilarious to see Marxist Democrats and Kremlin Bolsheviks use the same gaslighting playbook about their opponents? Birds of a feather...

President Trump can send Putin’s corrupt and Potemkin Russia back to the 1990’s with a couple a phone calls and executive orders. All the players on the battlefield know it, too.
