Recently, the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee held a hearing with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy. Let’s just say there was no shortage of spirited debate between Kennedy and my Democratic colleagues.
Kennedy is leading a bold effort across his agency and others in the healthcare sphere of the administration — what he calls "MAHA" short for "Make America Healthy Again." I am a strong supporter of Kennedy and his MAHA efforts. So are a vast majority of Americans.
Why? Because Kennedy, like myself, has seen the problem plainly: our federal health agencies — the FDA, CDC, NIH and HHS — have become too cozy with the industries they are supposed to regulate, too resistant to new ideas and too buried in their own bureaucratic bloat.
Instead of protecting public health, they have helped usher in an epidemic of obesity, chronic illness, mental health issues and disease. Government failure in this arena shouldn’t shock anyone — it’s the usual cocktail of corruption, complacency, greed and incompetence.

And then there Dept of Ag...
When he’s right he’s right.
Maybe I’m late to the party but I’ve come to the conclusion that big pharma is trying to addict half of us and poison the rest.
So he’s not all bad then
Exactly.
He’s pretty much all good except for foreign policy.
It has been a torrid couple of weeks on here for Rand as he has disagreed with the Administration!!
Well on principle Rand always votes against these bloated finance packages and I applaud him for it. Even though I see no way to stop it with the uniparty in power.
Just a little quibble. Rand doesn’t mention President Trump here. It’s usually customary to credit The President when something is going well within the Executive Branch. I’m sure it’s just an oversight.
Rand, STAY IN YOUR LANE! Medicine.
Leave the budget and other important things to TRUMP.
When you get out of your lane, you look as silly as your hairstyle. (REAL MEN don’t have “hairstyles”)
Nice to hear Rand Paul say something supportive of the Trump administration for a change.
He’s a senator and part of a co-equal branch of govt’
He does so all the time you just dont see it often because the media wont cover that aspect as widely as when he has something to get off his chest.
Well, Kennedy has to do it because Rand and the other do nothing GOP Senators have done nothing for years.
They have oversight you know. They don’t understand that.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised with Kennedy. I still think he’s a lefty nut, but he’s found his niche and might turn out doing something good for the American people. Maybe he can counteract some of the damage his scumbag uncle Teddy did.
+1
“He does so all the time you just dont see it often because the media wont cover that aspect..”
I don’t follow establishment media, so it can’t be their fault if I’m getting a skewed sampling of Rand Paul statements and positions.
In fact, YOU are may main source for Rand Paul news.. so if you want me to see more of his “good side”, then you better get cracking. LOL!
It has been a difficult few weeks here as Rand has disagreed with the Admin. on a few things.
I’ve been roasted a lot.
But you know what? I can take the heat if people want to vent they can.
No politician is perfect !!
Anyway, this is a good piece every conservative can enjoy...
