U.S. President Donald Trump will attend the G7 leaders’ summit in Canada next month, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed in a briefing.
Trump will be in Canada from June 15 to 17. More details of his visit will be announced shortly, Leavitt said.
On May 6, during Mark Carney’s meeting with Trump at the White House, the prime minister noted that the two leaders “look forward to meeting next month at the G7 Summit in Kananaskis.”
The 51st G7 summit will be held from June 15 to 17 in Kananaskis, Alta., attended by the core members of the group. Also in attendance will be Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

I’m betting President Trump will support Alberta’s referendum and Independence.
We should have a G1 meeting and tell the other 6 to suck it and pay their tribute.
That's because Putin is refusing to end the war in Ukraine.
Woo hoo! I can hardly wait to see what kind of video he plays when it’s his turn to speak.
I hope he flies big beautiful new plane there. But it’s probably still in the body shop getting the necessary work done.
Of course Trump will be there. It’s one of his future provinces. :-)
During the boycotts of states that voted down the feminist Equal Rights Amendment some celebs said they would carry food with them so they wouldn’t spend money in the states.
Trump should keep some beef jerky and maybe a foil wrapped Big Mac to reheat. No money for Canada.
RE: I can hardly wait to see what kind of video he plays.
Sgt. Preston TV shows. His dog was King.
The 51 G7 summit in the 51 state. Nice.
Heh, heh. I was thinking of something that included Bob and Doug MacKenzie.
Alberta a much safer venue that Ontario for Trump.
Perhaps. But why would he interfere in that process anyways? It's an internal matter.
And anyways First Nations in Alberta hold most of the cards as there are several Crown treaties with First Nations in Alberta that would have to be successfully renegotiated to accommodate "independence".
If First Nations in Alberta don't agree to treaty amendments, I believe it's highly unlikely that "independence" will take place.
I know that the Canadians are really "polite" but the Americans never asked for permission when we wanted our independence.
Like you said, nothing will happen. But people in Alberta will complain because it's not in their best interest to maintaining the status quo.
