Exclusive–Rep. Mary Miller: We Need a Separate Bill for Trump’s Social Security Tax Cut
Breitbart ^ | 22 May 2025 | Breitbart TV

Posted on 05/22/2025 11:27:49 PM PDT by SoConPubbie

On Thursday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) argued that eliminating taxes on Social Security should be brought up as a separate bill.

Miller said that due to issues with Senate rules, eliminating Social Security taxes in the reconciliation bill apparently isn’t doable, but “we’re double and triple-taxed as Americans.”

She added that eliminating taxes on tips was passed by te Senate with support from Democrats so “keep hope alive, we need to just be aggressive and get things codified, get it on the floor, make people vote on it.”

ALL of the BBB should have passed both houses by April 15th. DOGE has the cuts ready for the rest of this year waiting for passage to allow POTUS to hand Congress a “Recission” package of cuts to THIS YEARS spending that only requires a simple majority vote in both houses, signed immediately, Cutting up to a TRILLION $$ from the 2025 budget.

He’s already forwarded an extremely lean budget they could pass for NEXT YEAR- 2026 by THE FOURTH OF JULY!

POTUS has already “ Paid for all the” Cuts” but along with the cuts go the congressional “pork and beans” (SCAMS) that they’ve been stuffing their pockets with on BOTH SIDES of the aisle!

Now the four corner offense to run out the clock comes to light. Time for the GOP to support the President and the American People!

WWG1WGA!

Once Trump promised the SS tax revision, Republicans should be 100% behind it.
After all, He won't be running for reelection, and they will.
If there is no SS Tax cut by 2028, a smart Democrat will shove it down the Republicans throats, while promising to deliver it if elected.
Big stakes for little minds.

“Once again.... the Republican Party is the worst enemy Trump faces.”

Indeed the GOPe/RINO/uniparty is the worst entity this country ever had in spite of pushing much of President Trump’s agenda through, just put us $40 trillion in debt by adding another 10% to the debt. The RINOs also just insured they will also lose the house in 2026 like they always do handing trillions over to the dems to spend in their porkfest orgy. They love it this way and like being in the minority as the dems will cheerfully spend every dime.

It was the congressional parliamentarian that told the House eliminating the taxation on S.S. was illegal.

The use of the budget reconciliation process cannot be used to change taxation that was NOT instituted in the first place via reconciliation.

Taxation on S.S. was instituted via a stand-alone bill and only be undone by a stand-alone bill.

Agreed. And do the SS tax cuts in a separate, stand-alone, bill so Dims can be on record when they try to block it.

The parliamentarian is a rabid democrat lib and only part of the process because the senate chooses to follow anything the postilion states. There is no requirement to follow anything the position states, it has no official power.

Whatever she says has no weight beyond political cover and propaganda. It is meant to muck up conservative policy and it is time to abolish the position.

The first problem is RINOscum in the Republican Party.

The second problem is the Republican Party leadership who will not work to get good Republicans in the primaries to replace them.

Of course, where there are RINOscum, there are usually voters who are wading in the shallow end of the IQ pool.

Yes this needs to be a standalone bill remove all taxes on social security... It’s absolutely ridiculous that the US government takes this money from you... And then gives you pennies on the dollar when you finally start to collect back what you put in

And then they turn around and tax you on top of it

And with the deft touch of a true artist, they did it by helping foreigners, the defense industry, and the DC pork industry that DOGE exposed, YET, they managed to carefully avoid doing anything especially beneficial to normal everyday people or anyone on SS.

$4000 additional income deduction for seniors written into present bill

Sunsets at $160K.

It's the principle of the thing. They taxed the money already when you earned it.
