Incumbent Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner won his re-election campaign against former judge Pat Dugan in the primary election on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

The win should secure victory for Krasner in the coming general elections as no Republican candidate has announced a bid for the office.

Krasner, a former civil rights attorney who was elected in 2017, has been something of a polarizing figure in Philadelphia's political sphere.

His ongoing push for social justice reform has been criticized. And, legislators in Harrisburg have moved to limit Krasner's influence by installing a "Special Prosecutor" to handle prosecuting crimes that happen on any SEPTA property.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Not a surprise but nevertheless a big disappointment. The opponent was an old-school common-sense Democrat but the out of town money and energy of the lunatic left was too much to overcome.

This is why blue cities will never be any better or less dangerous than they are now. People just don’t seem to get it. They keep voting for the worst people they can get.

It’s 100% ridiculous that there is no R candidate. We should have a candidate in EVERY RACE for EVERY OFFICE, but this is a big one and no wonder they call the Rs the stupid party.

There seems to be an endless supply of extreme leftists like Krasner who basically want to throw the ideals of western civilization on the garbage heap and promote marxism. I wonder if they are a disappointment to their families or their families are also extreme leftists.

Crime HAS gone down down in Philly big, but it has nothing to do with Krasner. Mayor Parker hired more Cops, and has been tough on crime.
