On April 27, 2025, the Walk Away Campaign staged a rally at Beverly Gardens Park in Beverly Hills, Calif. in support of President Trump. The Walk Away Campaign describes itself as a movement that encourages those on the political Left to “walk away from intolerance and societal discord; to leave identity politics behind; and to walk towards unity, civility, respect, and the American ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.”

The Beverly Hills rally was part of Walk Away’s nationwide American Restoration tour that took place during the spring of 2025. A group of dissidents showed up to confront the Walk Away partisans, but the confrontation was peaceful.

Although Beverly Hills is in the middle of a deep-blue area, the Trump supporters easily outnumbered the pathetic band of leftists who came to confront them. The Beverly Gardens park has seen a number of Trump rallies.

“Although Beverly Hills is in the middle of a deep-blue area...”

Little-known fact: Trump WON Beverly Hills in 2024 by nearly 5%.

He lost there in 2020 by 11.2% and lost huge in 2016 (31.2%).

I was quite surprised too. The number of cities in Los Angeles County which Trump won in 2024 can practically be counted on one hand:

Beverly Hills
Bradbury
Glendora
City of Industry (with all of 70 voters)
La Habra Heights
La Verne
Rolling Hills
San Dimas

The number was even less in 2020 and 2016.

Being a Confederate partisan Granny was a Democrat, albeit an old-school one.

I live about a mile from La Habra Heights, and I can tell from the yard signs during election years that the city is red. La Habra, where I live, just south of the Orange Curtain (Orange County line) has gone blue in recent years.

Looks like Max Baer, Jr. is conservative. IIRC, he was known for throwing good parties.
