Wendy McMahon has announced her resignation as the president and CEO of CBS News and Stations, the latest departure from the network amid the pending acquisition by Skydance.
“At the same time, the past few months have been challenging. It's become clear that the company and I do not agree on the path forward. It's time for me to move on and for this organization to move forward with new leadership.”

They really should fire just about everyone, including Gayle King.
The station is being sued BECAUSE their leadership wants to pursue Leftist pro Democrat activism and not news. They need to decide what their business really is, supporting democrats or reporting news.
And knowing them, they’ll probably choose to support the demonrats.
Burn CBS to the ground metaphorically speaking and let the Phoenix rise from the ashes.
Yep, doubling down on stupid.
As usual.
Who 'watches' the news anymore? Except for breaking events, watching 'News' is a waste of time.
Nobody in their target demo of 25-55
Small potatoes.
I don’t think it will matter much and I certainly hope it has no effect on Trump settling his lawsuit.
I want to see Trump win and recover billions.
Agree, they will settle and the leftists are leaving because they do not want to settle.
Happened on McMahon’s watch, this is just face-saving.
Well, I hear Anheiser Busch is looking for a marketing Director.
In other words, CBS News wants to be balanced, and she doesn't.

hmmmm. another CEO resignation?
would this have anything to do with trump’s suit against CBS’s top show, 60 MINUTES?
The “news” is this way because its overwhelmingly lopsided with wimmin in it. Both gynocentric and feminized.
Exactly, the network wants to settle and stop the bleeding and those in charge want to continue with their leftist activist corrupt so called journalism
gotcha
Yep, Norduh O'Donnell was thrilled that she could spew feminist garbage, but then her ratings proved otherwise and people don't want to listen to man hating "news".
The entire industry is gynocentric and feminized. Its why there is no more hard news stories written/aired. Everything has opinion snuck in and everything is reported more like a feature story rather than a news story. Its because women did this like they did to education. The guys got driven out, the places are grossly imbalanced now towards women, and the results are not good.
Wendy McMahon started her tv career in Savannah, Georgia, working as a promotions manager and creative services director in several markets, the last being Los Angeles. She then was promoted to overseeing digital content for the eight ABC Owned Tv Stations and was named president of the group in 2017.
In 2021, McMahon left ABC to be co-president of CBS News and Stations, which was newly reorganized as a fusion of the local and national news divisions. The two have become more closely aligned, and McMahon also oversaw the launch of new or expanded local news programming in Detroit and Los Angeles.
She served alongside Singapore-born Neeraj Khemlani until he resigned in August 2023, at which time CBS appointed McMahon as the sole president and CEO of the division, in addition to leadership of CBS Media Ventures.
In May 2025, McMahon announced that she would resign from CBS News amid tensions between the network and president Donald Trump.
