A state district court judge in Missoula on Tuesday ruled that a 2023 state law banning many gender transition-related medical services for transgender minors is unconstitutional, prohibiting its enforcement.
The 59-page ruling from district court Judge Jason Marks found that Senate Bill 99, backed by Republicans largely along party lines during the legislative session two years ago, violates the Montana Constitution’s rights to privacy, equal protection and free speech.
The law had been temporarily enjoined before it was scheduled to take effect. The Montana Supreme Court upheld that block in 2024.
The court found that plaintiffs, including transgender teen Phoebe Cross and other minor patients, their parents and medical providers, successfully presented evidence that the law undermines their constitutional rights by curbing access to medical treatments for gender dysphoria, such as puberty blockers and hormones.

As recently as ten years ago, the previous sentence would have been incomprehensible, let alone controversially framed.
Cut the judges nuts off to show how safe and effective his decision is.

Maybe Judge Jason is really Judge Jamie.
We are not talking risk here.
Any honest doctor will state un-categorically that any child undergoing these procedures WILL be sterile. This not a risk it is an inescapable result of the procedure.
To inflict these procedures on a minor is undeniably unethical and arguably evil.
I say give them what they want. As soon as they are “diagnosed” straight to the operating table. No long term transitions, just start cutting off their parts.
Then the parents can have fun dealing with the mental and physical trauma they helped inflict.
Only caveat is no after the fact lawsuits.

Montana does NOT have an appeals court - all cases are appealed to the Montana Supreme Court...Too many of the judges ran on ‘women’s health’ (emotional plea to women) vs the pro life judges. We’ll get the court turned to the right side I a few years.

This guy is a graduate from Temple Law School in Philly. Why was a guy who went to law school in Philly serving as a judge in Montana?
Judge, how about the mutilation of children to enhance their begging abilities? Does banning that violate the Montana Constitution’s rights to privacy, equal protection and free speech?
