BREAKING NEWS Outrage as multiple lawmakers fall ASLEEP in Congress

Three lawmakers have been outed for falling asleep in Congress during an overnight hearing at Capitol Hill, sparking outrage online.

Video shows the hilarious moment Democrat Reps Debbie Dingell from Michigan and Jan Schakowsky from Illinois took a nap on Wednesday morning.

Another clip shows Republican Rep. Blake Moore from Utah being gently shaken awake by another lawmaker after he failed to respond to a question.

The snooze-fest came during a marathon hearing in Washington DC as lawmakers debated Donald Trump's 'big, beautiful' domestic policy bill.

Dingell, 71, was seen slumped in her seat completely unconscious while surrounded by three bottled drinks.

Meanwhile, Schakowsky, 80, was caught snoozing in the bottom corner of a video feed showing another lawmaker speaking just inches away.

Moore, 44, failed to respond to a question and needed waking up by a neighboring politician, as surrounding Congressmen laughed.

The mass cross-party nap prompted a flood of criticism online.

To be fair, I fall asleep in the middle of the day listening to them jibber-jab . . .

They can’t do damage if sleeping

Perhaps, but, their votes on the bill will still matter. Showing disregard for the important proceedings is not cool.

In "real life", if someone is caught sleeping on the job, they'd be looking for a new job soon after.

I sat in the audience of a congressional hearing once. It WAS difficult to stay awake. But I wasn’t getting paid to listen.

My nearly 84-year-old husband does this all the time, and at nearly 77, so do I. I work hard, though. He worked hard on Monday putting in a new kitchen faucet. Ours broke while I was capping Strawberries to make jam with.

Did a great impression of Mike Rowe, White mussed hair, camo cargo shorts, V-neck T-Shirt, the kind he’d worn since he made Chief-SCPO, back and knee braces. As Rowe says, skills last a lifetime. So will that $99 Delta faucet.

Then our power went out last night, right in the middle of his TV show, Oak Island. Whole neighborhood. So out come my oil lamps, candles, and his Uncharged Ham Radio. I found him messing with the TV first. Instead of charging his Ham Radio.

We had a 4.2 shaker in E. TN, so now the drills are going on. Or a transformer blew. Since it takes hours to replace a transformer, more than likely, the Drill. Minor small one this morning, not all felt. We are on the New Madrid Fault Line.

“”Debbie Dingell from Michigan and Jan Schakowsky from Illinois””

The country would be better off if they spent all their time sleeping!!! Two of the worst - if possible!
