But, if they had erected a statute to Aunt Jemima, the left would call it racist.

The “statue” looks like Latitsha “The Crook” James to me.

I will argue that the statue is yet another example of democrats kissing Black ass. kissing Black Ass is appearing to do something to insure the Black minority-majority. desert to the black minority-minority
Further I will argue that the Black artist that created the sculpture was perhaps as much as a year late delivering the work. The creator was after all in fact both Black and an artist and cared less about a deadline for delivery

But the new statue is meant to be a contrast, because this person is just a person who might need a dose of Ozempic and looks frumpy and mad and uninspiring. Well, she is inspiring to the suppliers of Ozempic.

Its pure post-modernism and marxism
The elevation of the mundane, unappealing, and pessimistic as “art” - not to celebrate or inspire, but to destroy, disturb and confuse.
Its sad that black people have been so propagandized, they tacitly agree to participate in this.

It appears to be a slightly to moderately overweight
Everything else aside, have we actually become so fat as a society (and accustomed and blinded to it) that anyone would actually call the woman represented by that statue as "slightly" overweight? She's closer to "obese" than "normal".

They should have made a statue of one of those Real Housewives With Big Boobs of New York.

I'm wondering if placing a large bronze 'backside' right at eye level was a good idea...

Democrats continue to be insane?
Not exactly breaking news...Just look at the endless videos of these violent freaks and misfits.
They need to be publicly mocked and scorned at every GD opportunity. And in many cases the need to be removed from civil society by any means necessary.

If a conservative had made the statue, blacks would call it a racist stereotype!

“The selfie/memes that will come from that will be legendary.”
And I can’t yet find a one on DDG or Yandex! The memesters are slipping.

If they wanted a statue of a black woman, they could have done one of Diana Ross, based on her iconic photos at her Central Park Concert.

I think it’s a tribute to people who work the counters at Frontier Airlines and the post office and the like, the people who have the ability to abuse their bit of power if they choose to make life difficult for anyone on their list.
