Our Chicago Pope

I am definitely NOT Catholic, but I am interested in how his election will effect Conservative principles.

All other religious issues aside...

This new pope was selected because of his politics. He is a liberal, just like pope Francis. But this new one seems to be a level above Francis in his liberal stances.

This pope is there only because he is American, and the anti-Trump/anti-conservatives around the world selected him because he will be a pain in the 'you know where' to Trump. Choosing an American is simply because he might seem more credible to those around the world (and in America) who wanted to put a stop to everything Trump and everything conservative.

Pope Leo's selection was purely a political decision. Pope Leo is the equivalent of Letitia James, but with the Catholic title behind him. To those who selected him and approve of him, he is their Obama equivalent, who might have some success in tattling against Trump and conservatives. Democrats lack a leader currently, but poop Leo is their new hope.
