Most people are opposed to teen sex trafficking, wholeheartedly, and they act like it. It’s a pathetic disgrace that Democrats in California can’t be bothered to do the same.
Should it be a felony to purchase an underage minor for illegal sex?
For most of us, the answer is a very easy yes. This is not a hard one. You will likely encounter three dozen questions today or tomorrow that will be considerably more difficult to answer. Generally, if someone is asked if there should be severe legal penalties for underage sex trafficking, the response is an immediate, unhesitating affirmative.
Democrats in California feel differently. The state assembly there this past week considered a bill — AB-379 — that would have amended state law to make it a felony to solicit paid sex from “any person under 18 years of age.” In other words, if you seek out and pay a minor for sex — if you engage in child sex trafficking — you would be guilty of a felony.
This should have been an easy move for the assembly; the debate should have taken about 30 seconds and ended with a unanimous vote, passage to the state senate, and a quick signature by Gov. Gavin Newsom. The ink should have still been drying on the bill by suppertime on Wednesday.
Democrats were not so obliging. In fact, they mounted a major opposition to the bill. By the time they were done with it, the bill’s protections for 16-year-old sex crime victims had been stripped from the measure. Democrats added language claiming it was “the intent of the Legislature to adopt the strongest laws to protect 16- and 17-year old victims.” Which is strange since, when given the opportunity to do just that, they refused.

No surprise. Article here awhile back said that 80% of all convicted child molesters in California were set free without even having completed at least one year of their multiple year sentences.
Democrats have always been pro-slavery, and they are getting ever more explicit about it.
I guess it’s time for the people of CA to finally stand up and get these evil people out of office. If you won’t stand up for your own children, who will??? This CA legislature is evil. Period!
The MSM is dependent on campaign adds to the tune of billions of dollars and as a result they do not vet the political candidates for We The People. Think about it, when you vote you you really know anything about most of those except for the top tier. Even with that top tier we know next to nothing.

Why stop with this one? One step further would be since there are laws about underage sex, 18 being the law in California, then how can young ladies of any age be responsible for the decision to have an abortion accomplished without parental involvement by the youth? And it’s quite obvious that underage sex is accepted in the state as it has an open abortion policy geared to cover and erase parental involvement for those youth that get into this problem. And if the youth can’t pay for it, the Medi-Cal Minor Consent Program confidentially covers abortion care for eligible minors.
In California, the Medi-Cal Minor Consent Program funds abortion care for eligible minors, which includes those under 21 who live with a parent or are financially supported by them. Additionally, California’s Medicaid program (Medi-Cal) provides abortion coverage for all eligible individuals, including minors, with state funds due to restrictions on federal funding.

All the standing up they could do would be nullified by tight Democrat control of the vote counts.

There’s several ways the people could go from lawsuits to recalls. I understand that the Dems are in control but surely there are groups strong enough and funded enough to get something done.

It would be the right thing to do if the conservatives were to bring on board a crackerjack team of forensic accountants and and private investigators and go through their backgrounds with a lice comb and see what falls out.

Punishment by god is not what’s going to stop the sex trafficking of kids. We need solution and punishment now, and not after someone dies. If the criminals understand that their punishment is long after they die, they will continue their evil way, down here and now.
