I am not sure why Trump thought it was a good thing to talk about Canada becoming a state. Probably just poking Trudeau with a stick, but it could have affected the election in a bad way.
Banker Boy is there only for the financial system upgrade. Everything else is distraction.
The people who installed Carney want to institute a home equity tax.
Seen enough yet, Canada?
Western provinces – Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Manitoba
It is hard to be sure how this will turn out. Poilievre, it appears, was/is pretty “woke”. After watching President Trump, I, more than ever, believe man proposes, God disposes.
This may turn out much better than a direct win.
God is in charge. Pray for Canadians!
actually the 51st discussion and Carney win seem to have strengthened independence movement in Alberta and Saskatchewan, 2 energy provinces with a conservative bent. it will be interesting to see how this develops. Carney cannot afford to lose them, whether to independence or to US.
the canadians seem a little insecure
now they have made a foolish choice
that will cost them dearly
but at least they have their pride
hosers
33 of 102 Illinois counties want out or realignment. Indiana has set up a commission to welcome most of those counties; JB Pritzker is playing it down, but expect it to blow up as he runs for the 2028 dem nomination.
Eastern Oregon and Washington counties want out or realignment.
Last time it took a long time between the "3/5's of a person thing" to Fort Sumter. So one election cycle in Canada is a step on a journey, not the whole trip.
Mebbe. But this “hindsight is 20/20” attitude of they should have known better, I’m not buying.
I forget the article I was reading about where the 51st state idea came from.
After the election and Trump’s decision to move forward with tariffs on Canada, Trudeau flew to Mar-a-Lago as fast as he could to try to convince Trump to not put additional tariffs on Canada.
In that meeting Trudeau basically said it would be impossible for Canada to live up to it’s NATO requirements and deal with tariffs at the same time, their economy would be devastated and politically it was impossible.
That’s when Trump told Trudeau, then maybe you should become the 51st state.
The main thing that killed the Conservatives is their candidate turned out to be a completely empty suit and folded like a lawn chair by running a terrible campaign.
Do you think the liberals have been given enough rope to hang themselves>
Agreed, Trump didn’t help Poilievre....the timing was unfortunate. What difference it will make is negligible since western provinces and their Premiers are ready to cooperate with US.
Carney’s 4 years may mimic Biden’s, resulting in a similar mini-MACA more beneficial than if had Poilievre won last month, just as Biden’s years did for Trump.
And more good news...common sense is returning to Britian with large Farage/Reform wins. Those were massive on the local levels, foreshadowing what’s in store. Peeps will only take so much sheet before rebelling.

Chiller’s post #12 says it all.
Pierre Poilievre, the Conservative candidate was the Mitt Romney of Canada, he took a winning election and completely botched it, he started sound just like the Liberals.
The liberals are savages in terms of election politics, you have to be a savage too, not some go along to get along candidate after what the liberals did to Canada.
Poilievre, was so bad, he lost his personal seat in Parliament, not surprisingly a lot of the conservatives want to keep him as leader of the party despite being thoroughly rejected by the voters.
Sure, blame the conservatives who want to preserve the country instead of the liberals who are destroying the country.
President Trump accomplished his mission in Canada. By totally disrupting the election, he wrought absolute turmoil to Canadian government all across the board.
The ability of a majority less Canadian government to function is slight. The new and real coalition of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba is an unprecedented political force of destruction to liberal efforts
Tense.....
Who have destroyed
Alberta and Saskatchewan both seem like great candidates to join the US, if the people there want that. Canada as a whole would be a disaster to add to the US, but select pieces? Worth considering.
Ok.
Fair enough, but it seems they are not yet done.
