China has created a list of US-made products that would be exempted from its 125 per cent tariffs and is quietly notifying companies about the policy, two people familiar with the matter said, as Beijing seeks to ease the impact of its trade war with Washington.
China has already granted tariff exemptions on select products, including select pharmaceuticals, microchips and aircraft engines and was asking firms to identify critical goods they need levy-free, Reuters reported on Friday (Apr 25). However, the existence of a so-called 'whitelist' had not been previously reported.
The quiet approach allows Beijing, which has repeatedly said it is willing to fight till the end unless the US lifts its 145 per cent tariffs, to maintain its public messaging while privately taking practical steps to provide concessions. It was not immediately clear how many and which products have been included on the list, which authorities have not shared publicly, the two sources said, declining to be named as the information was not public.

Meaningless.
Great! Thanks to the Chicoms for making my research easier. I will add this most recent list to the other Chicom products to avoid.
Many moons ago, instead of using credit, we decided to just wait and save for certain items. Yes, we did use credit for mortgage and cars. Most other stuff is not urgent. Once we saved enough, sometimes we discovered we really didn’t need/want it.
We are applying that same rationale to CRAP from the Chicoms. When we are shopping, in person or online, if it is from the Chicoms, we wait.
**from the Chicoms
EVERYTHING in China is controlled by the Chicoms. Nothing of any note happens without their direct, or tacit, approval.
For THESE products only, the tariff rate will be 124.999%.
Consumer debt is at an all time high defaults are on the rise. Regular folks are going to find out they cannot spend like the govt without consequences.
Anything with IP in it that they can steal.
It appears that some are technology they can steal.
“…and was asking firms to identify critical goods they need levy-free, Reuters reported…”
So they would know what to withhold to harm America’s economy.
