The press lies
Umm, everything. 6 pack of eggs, $5.99, a twelve pack, $10.99. Gasoline up to $3.39 locally. How about “I’ll end that war in 24 hours.” How’s that working out for him? So yeah, I’m not applauding much that Trump has done.
In Indiana ? Where are you buying gas? Food?
The big beautiful bill that has the “no tax on social security, tips, and overtime”?
Go to Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Target, etc.
Must be taxes or leases. I don’t pay near those prices, and I live in an expensive county/city in middle TN. One of the top 5 richest counties in the nation.
I shop daily.
I am quite certain that I do not wish to follow your advice.
Most of my money is in short-term T-bills right now. That does not really keep even with inflation, but it requires minimal attention from me on a daily basis. I can wait until there is a better stock market before shifting funds.
I am waiting, you know, for that time when inflation really goes to zero. I do not believe that has happened yet.
The government has consistently lied about everything concerning inflation, unemployment rates, and economic growth rates. I do not believe they have had enough time or RIFs to get out of the habit yet.
"Investments" with a PE ratio of 100:1 do not appeal to me. Let's just see how all this tariff policy shakes things out.
In 1950 you could buy a house on one worker’s salary. That’s not the case any longer because of that thinking. Having a policy of inflation has made bankers and politicians rich and screwed the lower classes, seriously limiting mobility.
Long term monetary stability is best.
“Are you sure about that $2.99? Or maybe you’re just a liar.”
The gas prices where I’m at in West GA are still around $2.99. There are prices below that also.
Why would you call me a liar? Why would call anyone on this forum a liar?
2.38 in Texas today.
They just see you coming and jack up the price and laugh while doing so.
Gas below 3.00 in Virginia all over. See, it’s just you pal.
Du tape is just a negative NeverTrump a-hole.
Just don’t drive off a cliff, because then no matter how much time you have, you don’t recover.
Gasoline: in which city?
It was a combination of a few factors. One was reduced government spending. Another was the fact that companies accelerated purchases last quarter in anticipation of tariffs., which reduced purchasing in the current quarter.
Also, measured in terms of dollars, prices were down, including many food products and products affected by lower energy costs.
Drive all over central Indiana and tell me that again. Just yesterday, gas was $3.39 in most locations, $3.19 in others.
Still showing it under $3.00 in Indianapolis, or is that not central enough for you ? Care to provide a zip code ?
North Central, try searching further north, and this is the last I’ll say on this topic.
