I’m wondering if it’s more than just a resolution. Maybe the reporter got sloppy with his wording. Johnson weighed in on the matter and said they wouldn’t pass it in the House. Maybe he was referring to their own resolution, or maybe what’s being proposed in the Senate is an actual bill.

It's a Joint Resolution, all right. From Congress.gov...

S.J.Res.49 - A joint resolution terminating the national emergency declared to impose global tariffs.

The Senate finally shows up and they’re trying to pass an anti Trump bill

A committee to meet and decide on every separate tariff?

It doesn't make any sense that Congress would negotiate tariffs with 100-200 individual countries. No legislature in the world does this. That's why Congress gave the power to the executive branch to handle tariffs in the first place.

One would thing the courts and congress would have better things to do than play President. Or is that asking too much?

“Veto a resolution from the Senate? Thought the veto was only used on bills passed by both House and Senate.”

resolutions don’t carry the force of law and only legislation can be vetoed ...

the media seems confused about what’s actually going on in the Senate with respect to this issue, perhaps on purpose ...

at any rate, if it’s legislation, it’s subject to a 2/3 cloture vote in the Senate before it could be voted on, and even if all of those hurdles were jumped, the House would still have to pass it, and THEN President Trump could veto it ....

if it’s just a resolution, then it’s a meaningless Kabuki Theater stunt ...

Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitch McConnell on Kentucky and Paul. Paul is now an enemy

True, but just imagine, if you are a congress critter… the bribes err I mean lobbying that will happen to make more millionaires in congress. I can see a new head of the tariff committee, probably become a billionaire!
