Russia and the Untied States have many common interests and common enemies. The USA is nourished on the concept of Liberty and Republicanism. Not so Russia—they have never known real democracy. Freedom is foreign to them and something they fear as confusion. They like a “Strong Man” in charge to fix things and keep order—be it a Czar or a President. They honor their founder—Ivan the Terrible (In Russian Terrible is better translated as Awesome—but he was terrible too) Ivan was the first Czar to take an interest in running the nation. He formed the first secret police “The Black horse watch”. Russia has always had a secret police from that time on. They support Putin for now.
