Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum’s patience ran out during a Wednesday segment when American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten interrupted her — and called her “sweetheart” — before she was forced to backpedal and eventually apologize.
MacCallum brought Weingarten in as a guest on “The Story,” where she asked about issues raised by a current case before the United States Supreme Court — Mahmoud v. Taylor — that involves a group of parents demanding an “opt out” for certain LGBTQ-themed lessons in the Montgomery County School District in Maryland. While Weingarten said that she could not comment directly on the case, she said that she was happy to talk about the broader issues at hand.
The Fox News anchor pointed to the dismal test scores recorded across the board at that particular school district, and asked why the schools were more worried about mandating books about pronouns than about ensuring that kids were actually learning to read, write, and understand mathematics.
“Look at this. I mean this — if this isn’t a failure that needs to be so much more important than whether or not you’re reading a book about your pronouns. This is the Maryland rankings,” MacCallum said.
“Fourth graders, these same little kids who’ve had these books, you know, fed to them at a very young age, their reading ranked in 2013, they were second in the nation in Maryland. 2024, 20th. Math, 16th in the nation, plummeting down to 39th. So if I were a parent in this district, I would be saying, ‘Please, please leave these books out of the picture teach my child to read and to do math okay, and let’s focus on why we’re there.’”
Weingarten argued that scores were going up in Massachusetts and down in Florida — which she claimed was proof that Florida’s anti-“woke” model was not working and that throwing more money at education was the answer. MacCallum pushed back, saying that Newark, New Jersey — where per capita student funding was among the highest in the nation — suggested otherwise.
Yeah Martha didnt take that crap from the commie freak of nature who doesn’t give a rats behind about kids, only about indoctrinating them
Wait. Is Weingarten a real “she”? I can’t tell if it’s a man who dresses like a woman or a woman who wants to be thought of as a man.
Hats off to Martha for the way she handled that old bag who hates kids.
That’s sexiss!
Okay, I’m confused. Is Weinfarten a sexist or is McCallum a transaphobe?
Only in America would we have a childless lesbo lecture us on how to educate children.
Randi’s favorite hand tool brand is Strap-on™ nyuk nyuk nyuk
I watched that yesterday or this morning. Boy ... the look on Martha’s face. It looked like she could spit nickels.
I saw this. Randi is a real piece of ugly debris. I wished Martha had cut the interview short right then.
And if anyone from the Bee wants to use this, just be sure to cite me.
I don’t really give a rats ass what Weingarten has between its legs. What I do care about is the fact that Weingarten and the rest of that corrupt faux union establishment are trying to destroy as many children as the possibly can. They are freaking Communists looking to destroy this country from within, and so far they are succeeding.
LOL - that’s what I was getting ready to post.
The commie shouldn’t apologize.
Should have said I’ll call you anything I want, honey, sweetie pie, sugar, darling.
Reporterette should ignore it.
Slim Pickins, re-incarnated, with a wig…
That’s actually a legitimate question. They’re forcing their perversions on kids and attempting to turn our kids into perverts.
And in Florida the number of students with English as a second language is 10%. As a former teacher, newer immigrants take up about 3 -5 times the class time in remedial work than 2nd generation students. Thank You Joe Biden.
I’m going to assume Weingarten is a tranny.
