The New York Post has noted that a joint commission to monitor the ceasefire is being considered as part of US President Donald Trump's peace plan. It would include representatives of Ukraine, Russia and a non-NATO country.

Details: Although the details of the peace deal have not yet been determined, a senior administration official told the news outlet that they could include the deployment of European forces to Ukraine if a ceasefire is reached.

"The hard part is what does a security force look like – we're calling that a ‘resiliency force’," the official said.

Now you see why there’s an ongoing purge of MAGA from Trump’s DoD. This proposal will be rejected out of hand by the Russians. There will be no other ceasefires for Z to continuously break as he has the last two.

Trump is blowing his opportunity. He has no leverage over the Putin and the Russian Army. Russia will settle this on the battlefield and will kill any more NATO troops, regardless of their guise, who enter Ukraine.

“they could include the deployment of European forces to Ukraine”

Russia has previously stated this is a nonstarter to any peace agreement.

“deployment of European forces to Ukraine”

No US troops! Let the EU flounder around.

LOL Russia can't even kill enough Ukrainian troops to win.

European forces will have European air cover and air defenses. Russia can't even establish air supremacy over Ukraine as it is.

It is not clear why European troops having air cover is relevant.

The question is will there be a ceasefire agreement including that. The answer is no. Since there is no ceasefire agreement, there would be no peacekeeping troops because there is no peace to keep.

The article is largely meaningless.

I find it odd that there has been zero mention whatsoever - at least in what I’ve seen - of UN peacekeeper forces (blue helmets).

It’s a way to exert influence over the UN to march to the DJT drum, imho, and meet all of the criteria without objections by parties.

i.e., UN ‘reform’ at multiple levels could very well be a side benefit.

At least we have more sources for leaks than just our DoD, for a change.
