JUST IN: DC Circuit Court Halts Judge Boasberg’s Contempt Order Against Trump Admin Officials

The DC Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday temporarily halted Judge Boasberg’s contempt order against Trump Admin officials.

The three-judge panel included: Pillard (Obama), Katsas (Trump) and Rao (Trump).

Pillard said she would not have issued the administrative stay.

“ORDERED, on the court’s own motion, that the district court’s contempt-related order entered on April 16, 2025, be administratively stayed pending further order of the court. The purpose of this administrative stay is to give the court sufficient opportunity to consider the emergency motion for a stay pending appeal or a writ of mandamus and should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits of that motion,” the appeals court said.

On Wednesday Judge James Boasberg said he found probable cause to hold the Trump Administration in criminal contempt of court for defying his order to turn around planes carrying dangerous Venezuelan gang members.

In a 46-page opinion, Judge Boasberg said the Trump Administration showed willful defiance that amounts to criminal contempt.

Boasberg also threatened to appoint a prosecutor if the Trump Administration won’t prosecute the criminal contempt.

“In the event that Defendants do not choose to purge their contempt, the Court will proceed to identify the individual(s) responsible for the contumacious conduct by determining whose “specific act or omission” caused the noncompliance. At the suggestion of the Government in the last hearing, the Court will begin by requiring declarations. Should those be unsatisfactory, the Court will proceed either to hearings with live witness testimony under oath or to depositions conducted by Plaintiffs. The next step would be for the Court, pursuant to the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, to “request that the contempt be prosecuted by an attorney for the government. If the government “declines” or “the interest of justice requires,” the Court will “appoint another attorney to prosecute the contempt,” Judge Boasberg wrote.

Good, BUT...”temporarily halted” and “pending further order of the court.”

I can’t wait for the day when these damn judges who confuse their role with the Executive are PERMANENTLY stopped from overstepping their authority.

These idiot judges and justices should all wear horse hair wigs to complete the Pythonesque nature of our judicial branch. What a gang of scumbag morons. At every level, with Roberts as Ringmaster.

Boasberg’s will keep at it. He is marxist stooge playing the game he was nominated for. The Supreme Court needs to slap him and his type down with their upcoming ruling on Jurisdictional courts power over the entire country.

The DC Circuit Court of Appeals should hit BoASSberg with a writ of prohibition, not mandamus. BoASSberg needs to be prohibited from conducting further proceedings, and ordered to pay the costs of the preceding. His conduct is improper and he needs to get smacked down hard.

Just when you think this idiot couldn't get more ridiculous! Is he going to stamp his widdle feet and hold his breath?

Biasberg will never stop, right up until the moment he is disbarred.

His only reason for being made a judge was to interfere in any Republican’s (especially Trump’s) initiatives.

Even after he is disbarred, he will continue.

If he is jailed for refusing to recuse himself, even with clear and compelling conflicting interests, he will continue.

Once he dies, his last will and testament will lay out the manner in which his estate will continue.

Pillard (Obama), Katsas (Trump) and Rao (Trump). Pillard said she would not have issued the administrative stay.

See? This is what I mean about idiot/lying judges. You can just about guarantee anyone appointed by that corrupt bastard Obama, is a sh*t judge, and will always decide anything wrongly.

The same is true of anyone appointed by Clinton, and to a lesser extent, the Bushes. Even Reagan has some lemons.

But Obama judges? Absolutely the worst, lyingest idiots in the judiciary.

Trump should make it a top priority to get as many judge vacancies filled with conservatives as soon as possible. There are 43 US District Courts vacancies now. Pressure the Senate and put up 43 judges immediately.

Boasberg also threatened to appoint a prosecutor if the Trump Administration won’t prosecute the criminal contempt.

So the Trump Administration should prosecute the criminal contempt. Have the prosecutor go into court, announce that the charges cannot be supported in view of the fact that the TRO was vacated and therefore, the government is dropping the charges.
