US Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) has arrested more than 1,000 illegal aliens during worksite enforcement operations since January 20, resulting in Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) proposing nearly $1 million worth of fines against businesses for hiring illegal aliens, according to a press release.
HSI acting Director Robert Hammer said worksite enforcement operations have increased over the past two months and warned businesses that knowingly hiring illegal alien labor is a federal crime. The operations are in line with President Donald Trump's executive order titled "Protecting the American People Against Invasion," ICE said.
"This is the highest rate of arrest in HSI's history," said Hammer in a press release. "We've subpoenaed the business records of about 1,200 businesses, and as part of our review, we've proposed close to $1 million in fines."
ICE has conducted both large-scale and small-scale worksite enforcement operations in recent weeks, with dozens of arrests made in states such as Washington, Louisiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

The left says that Americans won't do these jobs, but I disagree. I saw a video of a young black guy the other day who was excited as heck because he walked on a job site for a pool construction company and got hired immediately. He said he had been trying for weeks to get a job in construction but all sites were filled with illegals.
These businesses likely saved more than a million with cheap illegals so cough it up.
Good work!
Now do Illinois. I can give you the names of half a dozen businesses employing hundreds of illegals.

Now here is trend that needs to be celebrated, reported loudly and expanded.
Need to ramp it up to 10,000+ a day to make dent.
We have to be careful about this. The longer this goes on the people will get tired of it. Those who have friends and acquaintances in the community will turn on us.
Just look at what happened in Viet Nam. Protests in the mid-60’s led to Tet in ‘68. 58,000 killed. When a kid who grew up down the street ended up being one of them it was over.
I hardly think deporting illegal aliens is the same as a neighborhood kid dying in a war. Also the LSM who lied about that offensive and deceived the entire nation does not have that power today.
Secondly, I do not see this as a likely candidate for a Marie Antoinette moment regardless of the left’s attempt to create it, look at how hard they tried with that Garcia guy and the public opinion went up.
Lastly, the namby-pamby pearl-clutchers need to calm down and let those who are strong and firm of will fix our country.
Having been a provisional director of a multinational company, I can tell you the very first thing asked about any action is, “What’s out liability?” If there’s a potential liability companies of all sizes will avoid it.
I’m in Florida. Governor DeSantis *kiss, kiss* passed a law requiring workers in Florida to be citizens. The day it took effect my buddy’s son arrived on his huge job site to total silence. No yelling in Spanish. No salsa music. Four days later it was as loud as usual, but with English and rock and roll.
Did productivity improve along with the ambience...?
Small step in right direction.
Yes P-R-I-S-O-N for employing illegal aliens.
This needs to happen again and again and again in quick succession. Only then will the message get through. Only then will people stop employing illegals.
The other necessary step is to cut illegals off from all public benefits. No food. No housing. No education. If they come in for medical care, grab them and deport them immediately after rendering whatever immediate lifesaving medical care necessary.
Cut off public money and illegal private employment and tens of millions of them will leave of their own accord. They won't be able to afford to live in this country any longer.
Fining businesses a good idea. E-verify should be used as well.
Generally good news.
The idea of private companies being required to screen prospective employees seems to be a regulation that requires private companies to accomplish a task the Federal Government failed. The cost of company screening, like everything else is a cost passed on to consumers.
Bravo for the arrests, however.
“proposing nearly $1 million worth of fines against businesses for hiring illegal aliens”
Not liking the word, “proposing”. DO IT ALREADY!
And $1 million IS NOT ENOUGH!
Worth noting 1) lots of "businesses" exploiting labor, 2) the Chinese are involved (thinking Swalwell-Fang Fang sorts of things) and therefore this is probably a lot of Harris-Biden voter sorts of business owners who thought / think nothing of breaking laws. This is not "capitalism" but a modern form of Leftist-tainted feudalism of a sort.
Construction companies in larger cities are almost completely built on illegal labor (no pun intended.) It’s why new homes are so shoddily built; they aren’t even hiring men who know what they are doing.
