Washington and Tehran are expected to hold a second round of nuclear talks this Saturday, April 19, in Rome, following what Axios described as a “serious and substantive” first meeting in Oman.
On April 12, Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian FM Abbas Araghchi held the highest-level US-Iran dialogue in eight years. Trump later said the talks are "going ok".

Biden forced Putin into China’s arms. China is a bigger threat to Russia than we could ever be. Putin knows that. Trump diplomacy can put Trump’s hand on the valve that supplies the Chicoms with all of their oil. That Trumpian confederation of oil producing states and the world wide coalition of countries that have been brutalized by Chinese predatory dumping that Trump is building effectively boxes Xi completely in. Checkmate!
Turn Israel loose on Iran and let’s end this regime run by an Ayatollah!!
You aren’t wrong it’s like Kevin O’Leary said the other day. The chicoms have barges and barges of stuff that has to go somewhere as nobody is a substitute for the Us consumer.
Trade barriers are going up all around the world to prevent the cheap Chicom manufacturing that was earmarked to be dumped in the U.S. from being dumped in other countries. Trump will soon have Xi in a position to do nothing but cry uncle.

I so AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!
That insanity blows everything, including a large chunk of Israel up. For once, give peace a chance!
Steve Witkoff — getting it done.
You are correct the Chinese have to deal with trade barriers in other countries they don’t have to deal with in the US

For the umpteenth time, what are you going to believe, the spin or your lying eyes? If Iran can score 33 hits on Nevatim air base, they inflict horrific damage on Tel Aviv with the same capability.

Israel is no match for Iran and they know it. That’s why Netanyahu wants US to “give Iran the Libya treatment”. Let’s hope Trump is too smart to go there.
Yes, it’s fun to hate on the ayatollahs, but a wrecked and destabilized Iran would seriously destabilize the entire Middle East and make the mess in Iraq look like a Sunday picnic. Just no.
I agree
I admire your optimism and wish I shared it.
A deal with Iran is, as you say, in our best interest as well as Israel’s and the entire Middle East. Let’s hope Team Trump chooses that.
We’ve been pushing a very reluctant Russia into China’s arms for well over two decades now — Biden just gave the final (very hard) shove. I fear it’s too late to undo that now and pry them apart. As for boxing in China and checkmate ... we’ll see.
Here’s Trump’s press gaggle onboard Air Force One tonight. He’s upbeat on Iran and Russia.

Check out Trump’s remarks tonight. He seems optimistic on both Russia and Iran.

Remarkable evaluations! Certainly out of keeping with the norms. What is your source or authority for these unusual claims?
Iran offered unilateral nuclear disarmament for the entire ME, Israel included. Let’s see who doesn’t go for it.
That, of course, is a non starter. Perhaps there could be some deal worked out where a peaceful, non nuclear Iran’s security is guaranteed by Moscow.
Short of going nuclear, here is.no way Israel could inflict a resounding regime-changing defeat of Iran. And if they did go nuclear, the Saudis and every oil-rich dipstick little country in the ME that can will nuke up. Wouldn’t that be fun?
My assessment is hardly out of the norm. What is your source of authority?
Thanks. He mostly went on and on and on about how the war should never have started — and on and on! — but he did say Witkoff’s talks had been “good” and he’d “be making a decision on Iran very quickly”.
I’m glad he underlined the war in Ukraine is Biden’s war. He needs to keep repeating that.
