GREENBELT, Maryland — An exasperated federal judge commanded the Trump administration Friday to begin providing “daily updates” on whether it is doing anything to comply with her order to return a Maryland man — illegally deported to El Salvador last month — back to the United States.
U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis scolded the administration for refusing to provide even “basic” details about Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s location, despite her demand for an update by Friday morning.

He’s an El Salvadorian national, in his home country… end of story.
The very carefully chosen action word by all 9 SCOTUS was “facilitate”. It basically means to not impede any movement by the subject to return to the target. Provide travel means if it will facilitate the return. It doesn’t mean kidnap the subject from his HOME COUNTRY WITHOUT PERMISSION OF HIS GOVERNMENT and force him back.

Is the Trump Administration supposed to have him extradited to the United States so that he can be "properly" deported?

But he isn’t a ‘Maryland man’, he’s an illegal from El Salvador who happened to live in Maryland. By the same logic, he could be called an American man, since he lived in America.
