“The arts are what connect us. We’re not connected by being divisive. We’re not connected by being hateful. We’re not connected by cryptic, two-sentence communications.”
I’m thinking this guy maybe sounds a lot like the Bud-Light guy.
While Grenell could have been more professional, and I haven’t read the entire emails, he is not wrong about artists disparaging non-Liberals. Republicans pay money to see shows, get there and are subsequently insulted by the artists and some staff. It’s disgusting. I hope these 2 people have good intentions with their email contact but I doubt it. They are probably baiting him.
The things the Leftists have done there is unbelievable. I wouldn’t be suprised if Grenell quits.
> “The arts are what connect us.” <
Well, maybe. But that “connection” should not require a single tax dollar. I’d advise Trump to sell the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Then let it stand or fall on its own.
After all, my local bowling alley connects different folks from different neighborhoods. Yet the bowling alley gets no federal funding. It survives because it offers a product that people will pay for.
“Worried artists reached out to Kennedy Center president Richard Grenell. His responses didn’t help”
Grenell’s responses all look fine to me ... the folks asking the questions simply don’t like his answers because of the little bubbles they all live in ...
i have no doubt that YUGE numbers of fantastic acts will be beating down the doors to perform in the Kennedy Center, which will no longer cater almost exclusively to freakazoids and moonbats that pretty much no one give a krap about anyway ...
Well, bye.
I don’t recall the name of the Republican who attended Hamilton, and was called to task by the actors from the stage. Real **ass act by the cast.
Mike Pence in 2016
I can tell you that a painter can’t get a show of work in any gallery of prominence with art that supports Christianity, Patriotism or family values. No show, anywhere in a commercial gallery. And, if there is a religious theme, it must be sacrilegious.
Wasn't that a line from Mork?
The performers aren’t in charge of scheduling themselves.
The patrons decide what they want to see.
I believe it. Leftists kind of own the arts.
Yes, it was Pence and his wife. Such rude behavior to the VP (and O dont like the guy) and a paying customer.
Grenell sounds like a man who is busy, professional and highly prioritized in every thing he does and says.
For that reason, I was surprised to see him using a term that sounded grammatically incorrect.
” your vapidness”
I think that should have been
“ your vapidity “
**Of course, many would say me being concerned about such a term, was showing myself to be somewhat ‘vapid’
Vapid equaling: overthinking/ insignificant/ jejune
“I don’t recall the name of the Republican who attended Hamilton, and was called to task by the actors from the stage. Real **ass act by the cast.”
believe it or not, it was RINO VP Mike Pence that received that treatment from the assholes on stage ...
THE BOOKKEEPING IS 18 MONTHS BEHIND???
HOW COMPLICATED CAN IT POSSIBLY BE FOR THAT ENTITY???
I was self employed for over 42 years-—working by myself—as a bookkeeper. Had as many as 19 clients at one time-—cheaper $69,000 a year gross to $3.5 Million a year gross.
I NEVER HAD A SINGLE CLIENT 18 MONTH STALE IN THEIR RECORDS.
