Vance po’d the Chicoms. Horrors😀
I will gladly refrain from purchasing Chinese crap in the future but we need American options for things like phones and small electronics.
As for a tariff war, there's no time like the peasant.
Time to go peasant hunting.
Because of the tariffs, we might not have as many peasants under the Christmas tree.
An insignificant story with a sensationalized headline.
Stupid remarks from China about a potential future president.

The funny part is that it's a bunch of small 3rd world countries that make clothes, not China. Besides, MAGA voters already have skills so that would leave jobs like this for the recently unemployed fedgov workers. I think that fat guy might be the one who used to check people in/out of the IRS cave.
*chuckles* (loud & long!)
Somebody tell them that coming from a SW Ohio / Eastern Kentucky hillbilly, “peasant” is a simile, and a term of endearment and brotherhood. We don’t have peasants. But hillbillies are everywhere.
“If the U.S. insists on its own way, China will fight to the end.”
The Article I, Section 8 power of our Constitution gives Congress the unfetterable right to determine US tariffs:
“The Congress shall have power...To regulate commerce with foreign nations.”
No treaty, including a trade deal, can remove a power of our Constitution.
Something like 70 countries now realize the need to reach trade deals Americans can prosper under. Chinese leadership should not unilaterally reject the need to be reasonable.
Chinese negotiators should take American needs fully into consideration so US-China trade does not come to an “end”.
The media knows how to toss a match into a dry field and watch the sparks fly.
It’s entirely possible that Lin Jian was prompted by a reporter’s question designed to elicit a strong reaction—especially during a press briefing already focused on tariffs and U.S.-China tensions.
And it’s not the media’s fault for doing their job. Stirring the pot is the job sometimes. Vance served up a juicy quote, and the press ran with it.
Classic cycle: bold political rhetoric → press amplification → international response → more headlines.
Come to find out, the memes are US based satire
“The funny part is that it’s a bunch of small 3rd world countries that make clothes, not China.”
The ability to make clothes for US import was parceled out about a decade or two ago. The Chinese now have grabbed a large share of clothing import production.
The Chinese peasants do labor intensive assembly work. A Chinese-made jacket is quite likely to have been sewn by a female peasant.
Many Chinese factories are now world class and highly skilled machinists set up and supervise the machines.
Peasants don’t run the factories making highly pure silicon for solar panels.
Meaningless claptrap to avoid facing the real issues.
Socks are quite commonly made in the USA on highly automated equipment.
This is what the one child policy gets you. It’s obvious that these Chinese never went on a family vacation riding in the back seat with siblings. You NEVER let them know what bothers you or makes you mad.
Peasants...
And car parts and medical supplies.
I will gladly refrain from purchasing Chinese crap in the future

like Chinese made pharmaceutical precursors, drugs, parts that are need to make parts, and hosts of other things which go into Made in USA products.
Small electronics are also made in countries which do not have an equal balance of trade with the US and so will continue to be heavily tariffed under the current Navarro plan.
Say good bye to products that are from poor countries that cannot afford to buy US made goods like vanilla
You don’t want to cause them to ‘lose face’
