This “scoop” is garbage... ( Politico about Musk. )
X ^ | Apr 2, 2025 | Karoline Leavitt ... Assistant to the President and White House Press Secretary

This “scoop” is garbage..

Elon Musk and President Trump have both *publicly* stated that Elon will depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete.

...

SCOOP: Pres Trump has told his inner circle & members of his Cabinet that @elonmusk will be stepping back in the coming weeks from his current role

➡️Trump remains pleased w/ Musk & DOGE, but both men have decided in recent days that it will soon be time for Musk to return to his businesses and take on a supporting role.

➡️Musk’s looming exit comes as some Trump administration insiders & many outside allies have become frustrated with his unpredictability & view the billionaire as a political liability, a dynamic that was thrown into stark relief Tuesday when a conservative judge Musk vocally supported lost his bid for a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat by 10 points.

OF NOTE: Senior administration official said Musk is likely to retain an informal role as an adviser & continue to be an occasional face around the White House grounds. Another cautioned that anyone who thinks Musk is going to disappear entirely from Trump’s orbit is “fooling themselves.”

BUT BUT BUT... The news represents a shift in the Trump-Musk relationship from a month ago, when White House officials &allies were predicting Musk was “here to stay” and that Trump would find a way to blow past the 130-day time limit.

ON TIMING: POTUS has indicated that the transition is likely to correspond to the end of Musk’s time as a “special government employee,” a special status that temporarily exempts him from some ethics and conflict-of-interest rules. That 130-day period is expected to expire in late May or early June.

WHY NOW? Musk’s defenders believe that the time is right for a transition, given their view that there’s only so much more he can cut from government agencies without shaving too close to the bone.

But many others say, he’s an unpredictable, unmanageable force who has had issues communicating his plans with Cabinet secretaries and through the White House chain of command led by Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, frequently sending them into a frenzy with unexpected and off-message comments on X, his social-media platform — including sharing unvetted and uncoordinated plans to gut federal agencies.

Trump may send Lutnick and Waltz away. Musk may stay but not be as publicly visible.

some Trump administration insiders & many outside allies have become frustrated with his unpredictability

Guaranteed those same "administration insiders and many outside allies" are also frustrated with Trump's unpredictability. Also guaranteed that these people are utter dunces and mediocrities who've never accomplished anything of note in their lives and don't understand what drives doers like Trump and Musk.

Musk not leaving yet..

Politico has become a tabloid paper that would rather run fake news for clicks than real reporting,” White House spokesman Harrison Fields ..

I’d keep him as long as I can keep him,” Trump said. “He’s a very talented guy. You know, I love very smart people. He’s very smart.

Politico received major Federal $$$$ when USAID ‘purchased’ many, many Politico ‘subscriptions.’ Will they make up for it with advertising, or was it just the usual left wing bribe with other people’s money?

Nothing unless the tariff policy fails bigly. He will take the fall. I don’t think anyone knows right now what the final outcome will be.

Waltz is the guy who needs to go.

But Lutnick’s got a profit agenda around the digital token/coin move that is an ugly fit with the PayPal mafia’s surveillance and control urges. So I could see benefit for letting him slip away too.

If DOGE dies away before any cuts are actually made, that will be a travesty.

Musk’s temporary assignment and departure was public information and widely discussed openly for quite some time. Reporting this as something “new” and “breaking” is just flat out lying. Yet again.

This is designed to falsely create a rift (which based on some of the reactions here on other threads, successful - people don’t pay attention) among the right and also encourage the Left to continue their stupid “protests” and making it seem like they are “working” and to “keep it up.” Probably also make it seem like Cory Booker’s crazy, bizarre rants on the Senate for make some sort of a difference.

I recall hearing that Musk had to assure shareholders at his various companies that he would limit his work in DC to DOGE establishment and completion before returning to run his multiple companies. This makes sense to me, but Dems just want to smear everyone who fights them.

Opinions change. Trump is pragmatic. Musk may need to step behind the scenes while continuing DOGE.

Let’s see what happens? Just today both Canada and Mexico surrendered unconditionally.

So there’s that.

With the results they’ve gotten, I’m sure Musk and his team have made at least a few folks a little jealous.

Greg Gutfeld declared on The Five yesterday that the LAAP-dog media is now dead to him. They have zero credibility after covering up for Biden's incapacitation, and he now ignores every claim of scandal, every "-gate" that they try to shove at us.

He said that when the media claims that the Signal chat was the "most dangerous threat to America since the Rosenbergs," he laughs at them and says "The last four years of Biden was the most dangerous threat to American, and the same media covered it up! Don't you dare try to tell me what's a 'danger' to the country now!"

Gutfeld said that when the media calls for Hegseth, Waltz, Gabbard, Noem to resign over Signal, he says "Nobody called for Lloyd Austin to resign after 13 Americans were killed in Afghanistan. Nobody called for Austin to resign when a humanitarian aid worker and his family will killed in a rushed drone strike in Afghanistan. Nobody called for Austin to resign when he went AWOL for two weeks and failed to inform anyone of his health problem. Don't tell me that anyone must resign over a chat on an encrypted tool after the military strike was a great success!"

Then Gutfeld said, "They're dead to me, now and forever more!"

So here we are. Nobody should give the LAAP-dog media any shred of credibility any more.

They're done.

The other thread is still going. Most are still clutching pearls. Can’t believe they’re falling for it.
