House lawmaker moves to oust judge in deportation case with move that skips impeachment

An Arizona congressman introduced legislation Monday to remove the federal judge who has blocked President Donald Trump's efforts to deport Venezuelan gang members, offering a novel path that avoids the impeachment process and the need for two-thirds support in the U.S. Senate.

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., filed a resolution that would remove U.S. District Judge James Boasberg for “failing to maintain the standard of good behavior required of judges" under Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution.

“Most Americans believe that there is lifetime tenure for a federal judge. That unless impeached, a federal judge can serve until death," Biggs told Just the News. "But lifetime tenure is not guaranteed, nor mentioned, in the Constitution. Article III, Section 1 permits a federal judge to serve only ‘during good behavior.’”

Constitution. Article III, Section 1 permits a federal judge to serve only ‘during good behavior’.

No democrat judge can pass that test.

I like Bigg's reasoning here, and I hope he can pull off a miracle and get the Speaker to actually do something with it, and for all his Republican chums in the House and Senate to do likewise. Fat chance. /s

What that would happen though, IMO, is SCOTUS would overrule it with Roberts and Amy taking his side. Same for the other Federal judge in California who is a problem...

There's something going on behind the scenes that controls the two of them, Constitution be uh, flushed. The other three liberals are a known quantity. Don't want to use that other word...

Roberts and Amy taking Boasberg’s side, to be clear.

Republican congress must be feeling left out. So now they want to jump in and get slapped down by another district court judge.

100,000 illegals deported already, not even 3 months in.

100,000 in less than three months may sound good, and obviously better than what was happening, but we need to 10x that to make the headway needed for real impact. Housing shortages and homelessness would see real relief when millions are moved out. It will take the hiring of a few thousand article I judges to deal with the backlog of administrative immigration cases that now have a 6+ year backlog.

Thats 1.6 million over Trumps second Term.

Im glad we have progress...but we need to increase the throughput to the tune of 5-6 million at least..

Article III, Section 1 permits a federal judge to serve only ‘during good behavior.’”
~~~~~
The same Section says, “The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.”
Eliminate Boasberg’s court, and place Boasberg out on the curb.
From Brave’s AI:
~~~~~
Katharine Boasberg, the daughter of Judge James Boasberg, works for Partners for Justice (PFJ), a nonprofit organization that provides legal services to underserved communities. PFJ receives approximately 76% of its funding from government grants, some of which are indirectly linked to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). 2. 3. 4...
.....
PFJ’s work includes opposing mass deportations and legislation targeting members of criminal gangs, which has raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest related to Judge Boasberg’s rulings. 3. 4. 5...
~~~~~
...a clear conflict of interest and a clear violation of Boasberg’s duty to recuse himself from deportation cases.
Just being real about it.
Prove me wrong. I'd love to be proven wrong about it. I'd admit it if it were to happen in this case.
Judge James Boasberg’s net worth is estimated to be around $20 million. His assets include a $4.9 million home in Washington, D.C., along with three additional properties, including farmland in California. His annual salary as a federal judge is $247,000.
Can’t be proven wrong, or right, if people refuse to do their constitutional duty.
Period
How about, and this is not a butt chewing but constructive, you switch sides and push people to do what the constitution provides for them to do ( bad grammar there lol )..
Just a thought
Congress begins to awaken!
I don’t care how they remove these judicial traitors, and not spending a lot of money on impeachments is just fine. Just get rid of them.
And the DOGE boys —are— looking at how other folks (congresscritters) on 200k salaries became 20-millionaires...
They should add judges to that list.
