So sick of listening about the idiot seniors who listen to dem lies and change their opinion every 5 minutes.
Are old people this effing stupid and panicky? Do they think the crime in their neighborhoods is from Trump and Republicans? Just go play bingo and STFU.
What a dumb@ss.
Direct deposit, you mouth-breathing idiot.
because they're stupid.
Fake news.
WORK FROM HOME APPARENTLY DOES NOT WORK FOR SOC SEC EMPLOYEES
THEY ARE NOT IN THE OFFICES
THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONES
I always changed mine AT THE BANK WHEN I CHANGED BANKS.
NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS.
MUSK did a pretty good job of that in the interview with Brett Bair.
AVAILABLE on internet.
GOOGLE IT.
So the example given, someone named Bacon, had trouble with SS in Jan.
Uh Trump didn’t take office until Jan 20.
Media lies
Within 2 weeks I got a letter back indicating that the change has been processed and will be effective with the April payment. So at least the back office is still working.
I wonder if the problem with answering the phone is that SSA can't find enough people who speak English to answer the phone calls. At least the written correspondence was in English.

Somptin’ not right here - SSA does not send “checks” any more.
Should that say “deposit”?

There are about 450,000 folks in the US that still get paper soc sec checks.
The only time existing recipients need to do anything (visit soc sec office) is if they’re changing the bank account to which their SSA payments are to be sent.
The in-person visits to the SSA office are for the above-mentioned change and also for someone signing up for the first time.
“Bacon relies on the $1,600 a month she receives from Social Security to pay for the 24-hour care of her brother, Rick Clark, who has dementia.”
Wow that’s some incredibly cheap round the clock care. I wonder where she finds nurses willing to work for $2 bucks an hour.

Stewing in constant fears NOT based on any truth usually means you need to cut way back on the coffee.
Sure they do.
Hey...if they want to give me back all the money me and my employers have put into it now and let me stop giving to Social Security, I’d be more than happy to oblige! :)
One of the factors people are missing is that the SS employees are stereotypical fed “workers”. They don’t do much work and have an aversion to talking to taxpayers (who they see as beneath them). Their arrogance is pathetic. Fire many of them since most of social security is paid with computers directly to bank accounts. The employees who are there are mostly “make work” for people who couldn’t handle a real job outside of the government. Sad...but true.
Yeah, I caught that, too.
If a month is 30 days, that's about $50 per day for 24 care.
A drop in the bucket.
My mom's assisted living cost $10K+ per month.
For the last 4 years.....those federal workers have been sitting on their living room couches. Nope....no one to answer the phone.
Ponzi definition: New marks are needed to pay for existing marks who want their promised money. I want my promised money. It will take me many years to get back what I , my employer paid in on my behalf. Others out there must pay in to Social Security for me to collect.
Oh wait a minute the money I paid in is held as IOUs by the government that is 36 trillion in debt. I’m sure they will be able to go deeper in debt, just for me.
