“If a judge stops Trump, Bondi should arrest them for election fraud. Trump should fire Bondi if this does not happen.”
It is probably a little more complicated than what you have stated. While these Biden and Obama appointed judges have what they may believe to be free rein to issue judicial opinions based on personal bias alone, without recourse to any constitutional authority or case law whatsoever, there still has to be a couple steps in between. First, the judge has to show cause as to who made the complaint, and what authority they used in determining their ruling, then how it is to be enforced. The ruling has to be passed up through the appeals process, until it hits a level where it may be reversed, whether on merit or on procedure.
At this point, if the judge has failed to show judicial prudence, he or she may be subject to rebuke and possibly sanctions, up to and including disbarment. But that is determined by the bar association holding jurisdiction, and sterner measures may have to be applied, impeachment, or if the malfeasance is severe enough, criminal charges and appropriate sentencing.
Maybe the subject of all this attention shall be fortunate enough to die before a final decision is pronounced.
But the Trump impeachments and prosecutions were not based on facts or process, but on the force of the left.
Does this set a precedent? Can Trump just put them in jail until their trial date comes up in 2-3-4 years?
The process is the punishment. That is a weapon the Republicans have been reluctant to use back.
