Molly MacGuires were violent. So were some unions sometimes. Some of them were pointedly middle class and conservative, such as the leaders of the Homestead Steel strike. But it spun into violence regardless. Weather Underground, BLM, Simbionese Liberation Army, were all violent. The further removed from the labor movement that leftists get, the more violent they get.
