Yet they never gave a damn about the devastating effect their horrible policies had on private sector employment.

One student at Georgetown University was hoping that her current internship at a federal agency would help her secure a full-time job there before she graduates in May. She found her work in the sciences rewarding and her co-workers “brilliant” and inspiring. In reality, we were paying her to be an activist for the Democratic Party.

Lawmakers in both parties are warning the cuts will harm the government’s ability to recruit young people out of college... You say that like it's a bad thing...

Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., whose state is home to hundreds of
thousands of federal workersWorried much about your disappearing voter base kaine?
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Why? The competent will be kept and the mediocre and inferior will not be hired. Government work should not be an employment program.

But in just two short months, the DOGE cuts and federal hiring freeze have upended her career plans. For Gawd's sake she is a graduating senior and has her entire professional life in front of her. I think she'll be okay.

What is Kaine’s biggest worry?
1 Is it recruiting the next generation of fed workers for the sake of the federal government?
2 Or recruiting the next generation of Northern Virginia democrats that will donate to his campaign and vote for him?
I’d bet on #2. Democrats are never concerned with the good of people or the country. They are concerned with their party and their own political careers. Loss of fed workers means loss of votes, big time.
Who knows, maybe in a couple voting cycles Northern VA will be Republican enough so the whole state goes red.

I don’t think it’s necessary to worry about the next generation of work at home government workers. They’re fighting for those jobs right now. Those who don’t get one or lose one are committing suicide.
